The Nextcare urgent care centre is an excellent example of how good a urgent care centre can be. I come from Canada and we do not have the type of elite medical facilities that organizations like Nextcare provide to their clients. But then Nextcare is again another step up over the competition in the American urgent care centre market segment. The staff rate from the receptionist through to the male nurse fellow, and of course, the doctor are simply excellent. Each one of the three that I am mentioning here excel in their roles / positions / jobs. I could talk quite a bit about the receptionist and the nurse because they’re that good. But I will save my comments for Dr. Brian Rush because he’s that good and as everybody knows it’s darn hard to find a good doctor. Dr. Rush is more than a good doctor. He’s a very very good doctor. Excellent personality, thoughtfulness, and diagnostic skills and then very skilled at communicating his proposed plan, to his patient. I can only imagine that I’m not the only one that was just so pleased to have been seen by DR. Brian Rush and the fact that Nextcare must have other doctors of similar skills and qualities is a real testament to their system and to their roster of doctor talent.

Considerate, respectful, helpful, fast we had a great experience. Brought my wife in for a laceration on her foot. The team helped with a wheelchair, got us through paperwork quickly, advised on the best options for care and cost and speedily got her into a DR for a few stitches, and let me and our 4 year old accompany her. Much better experience than the emergency room!

I don’t think anyone really likes going to Urgent care or needing help but this place was awesome. I got to see a Doctor (Dr. Chen) who was knowledgeable, efficient and willing to help. The woman at the front desk and the nurse on duty were also friendly, efficient and extremely good communicators. I would definitely go back here if I needed medical care outside of my PCP.

Very good service and care. There was one ER doctor in place so there was some waiting time. Yet, the receptionist informed everyone of other Urgent Cares within a 10 minute radius as well as the waiting times there. We were kept updated of our place in line and time to wait. The receptionist was polite and calm, the MAs personable, and the Doctor was knowledgeable and efficient. I'm a UK trained RN and saw a seamless, efficient service. And if there's a wait? Be fortunate to be in the US where there is provision to receive mediccal attention outside of office hours.

You have excellent staff there. They are very attentive, kind, respectful, and very helpful. It was a pleasure being helped there. They were very good to my mother and treated her with kindness and respect! Top-notch Care I appreciate everyone who helped us! From the front desk to the doctor! Outstanding customer service and care for us!

I was a walk in appointment. There was no one waiting in line which was super lucky. The lady sitting at the front desk was extremely helpful and really nice to talk to. She made me feel welcomed and after I finished filling out the form, the nurse practitioner came and got me. They made me feel comfortable and helped me figure out the best next steps for me

The doc was exceptional during my urgent care visit. Even though the clinic was clearly busy, he remained calm, unhurried, and took the time to really listen and ask thoughtful questions about my symptoms. What stood out most was his attention to detail—he carefully reviewed my medications, caught potential drug interactions, and worked with me to choose the safest and most appropriate treatment. I felt genuinely cared for and confident in his clinical judgment.

My husband and I visited this location today while traveling through Arizona because he has been experiencing significant chest tightness, coughing, and body aches. We checked in at 12:58 PM and were asked to complete registration by scanning a QR code and entering all of our information online, including my husband’s insurance details. There were only two people ahead of us in the waiting room, and both appeared to already be checked in. During the time we waited, both of those patients were called back and seen by the doctor, yet we were never notified about any issue with my husband’s insurance. After waiting nearly an hour, we were finally called back up to the desk where the receptionist, Charlene, informed us that the clinic does not accept my husband’s insurance because it is out of state. We completely understand that insurance limitations exist and would have been happy to decide whether to pay out of pocket or go elsewhere. The frustrating part is that it took almost an hour for this basic information to be communicated. During that time, Charlene stepped away from the desk multiple times and appeared to be on personal phone calls. Normally that would not bother me, as everyone has things come up during the workday. However, when someone is sitting in urgent care feeling ill, waiting that long simply to find out whether they can even be seen is frustrating and avoidable. Additionally, since the registration process requires patients to scan a QR code and submit insurance information online before being seen, it would be extremely helpful if the system flagged when an insurance plan is not accepted at that location. Even a simple notice during registration could allow patients to make an informed decision immediately instead of waiting an extended period of time just to learn they cannot be seen. If this had been communicated within the first 10 to 15 minutes, we could have chosen to either pay the out of pocket fee or go to another urgent care or emergency room instead of losing nearly an hour while my husband was feeling worse. We understand weekends can be busy, but with only two patients ahead of us and a quiet waiting room, the delay in verifying basic eligibility and communicating it to patients was disappointing. When people come to urgent care, they are often sick, uncomfortable, and worried. Timely communication, especially about something as basic as insurance eligibility, should be part of the initial intake process. I hope this feedback helps improve the check in process for future patients.
