Yesterday, our daughter was discharged from the NICU at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and our hearts are filled with gratitude.
We want to sincerely thank the incredible doctors, nurses, and all the staff who cared for our baby during such an emotional and difficult time. Your kindness, compassion, patience, and professionalism gave us strength and hope every single day.
Thank you for treating our daughter with so much love and care, and for supporting our family through every moment. We will never forget everything you have done for us.

I had a very positive experience at this hospital. The care I received was excellent, and all of the staff were kind, professional, and attentive. I would especially like to thank Ms. Nini for her exceptional care, kindness, and attention. She made me feel comfortable and well looked after throughout my visit.

Writing about the Mother and Baby unit. I had my baby in August of last year (my third time delivering at Methodist) and this was by far the best experience I had out of the three. The nursing staff is AMAZING. I had to stay for six days and the nurses were so invested in getting me better so that I could get better and be discharged. They took amazing care of my daughter and I. They were even so kind to my husband who stayed with us. It was a very difficult time but the nurses made it better. Every single nurse and nurse tech was experienced, empathetic and had amazing bedside manner. Special thanks to these nurses: Pauline, Briana, Julia, Kol, Thania, Stephanie (charge nurse), Remi (x-ray tech), Simone, Ruth, Michaela.
Holy cow. This hospital has the worse emergency room of all. It is so crowded , dirty, and smells. Patients wait forever for the rooms. All equipments are outdated. There are crazy whackjob patients here telling and cursing. One patient got up in his underwear and tried to runaway. Security got him back. It feels like an asylum here!!!!!
I went to the ER and was admitted to the cardiac ICU unit for heart surgery. I couldn't have asked for better care from nurses, doctors and medical staff. I was well informed of procedures that were happening to me and nurses did their best to make sure I was comfortable during my 8 day stay. I felt safe and informed at all times. I can't thank the nurses, surgeon and hospital staff who made my stay as good as it could possibly be.
I was admitted to the ER, twice, with an extremely, extremely painful abscess, in the space of two days.
I received phenomenal care from the nurses and doctors who treated me and the orderlies and technicians who moved me around and ran my tests.
But the reception staff... The second time I was admitted, I was in so much pain I was sweating, crying, and unable to stand. A receptionist told me I would need to wait to be admitted, and dismissed me to a chair. My partner pleaded with her to send for someone but she acted as though she wasn't there. A nurse found me curled up on the floor of the waiting room and admitted me immediately - over the objections of the receptionist.
I understand it is perhaps necessary to harden one's heart to work such a job. Nevertheless I was stunned by the lack of human compassion of care shown by the desk staff, and it has recurred in every experience I subsequently had in the community health center. They gatekeep the doctors, and truly don't seem to have the slightest regard for suffering. It's rather disturbing to be honest.
If I can give it a 0- I would. I've been in the ER area since 3pm I waited over 7 hours and was sent back to get ex rays “by mistake” ! There is ABSOLUTELY NO PRIVACY! the nurses will walk past you without even communicating about next steps! They don't ask if you need anything, are you comfortable, ( it's a wait time etc) the most appauling part about this 506 park slope location outside of the neglect and failure to communicate, we are sat in chairs that doesn't honor covid 19 standard spacing and they violate HIPPAA RIGHTS! The nurses and doctors will ask you all intimate information in front of other patients, disclose your diagnosis and other sensitive information while your sitting side by side with other patients with no privacy screen. This nurse was about to perform an ekg for a patient! What's wrong? With this picture! The patient had to lose her temper in order to have the nurse performher job properly! This is the area where everyone sits for hours and hours with no help communication or assistant this is also the area while you have to disclose all kind of sensitive information! This is horrible! They need new staff, coaching, superiors a privacy for the people that come in need of they're help! I'm disgusted with this hospital it's a disgrace to all nurses and doctors that has sleepless night and long day to get proper credentials to help people! Most importantly it's disgusting to the patients that put they're lives in these people hands!!!!!! She just an example, of the terrible conditions and treatment. The staff especially the Carribean staff, will use profanity, speak loudly in huddles discussing patients I was sick to my stomach to see they're behavior! I didn't have the strength to take more much needed photos. *EXCUSE ANY TYPOS I FEEL WORSE NOW THEN WHEN I ARRIVED! Have don't have any strength left to continue!!!look at this nurse, examing a patient in front of everyone!!!! They treat and talk to you like your a specimen! MAINLY THE CARRIBEAN NURSES THEY'RE THE WORST!!! It's horrible and highly inappropriate to see such things done and discussed in front of you!!! It's bad enough you your self is sick!!! PLEASE HELP THIS HOSPITAL AND RESTORE IT TO ITS PROPER DIOLOUGE!!! Rn James & the Rn that he work beside her same is sakv( not sure of the spelling) they both were amazing NYP needs more like them!!! The gentlemen that my ekg upon arrival I can't recall his name he was amazing did his job with care very professional with a sense of humor all while getting the job done. The two triage nurses that ( Steve and another nurse that noted my symptoms and took basic info ) was very delightful. It's a few good professionals there unfortunately the bad outweigh the good!
Had hip replacement surgery here in February 2026. My experience was very good. The nurses and nurse technicians were professional, capable and attentive to my needs. I was well cared for. Thankful especially to Kevin, Vina, Neeco, Marvet. Marlene, Barbara, Liliyah, Julia, Luul, Penny and Yavi. Special mention must be made also of my patient and kind Physiotherapists - Kim, Angela and Lou. Thank you so much for getting me initially moving after surgery. Big and special thanks to my top of the line surgeon Dr. Christopher Scanlon and his team. Dr Scanlon explained everything clearly, performed a successful surgery and followed up to ensure that his patient was good. Thank you NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist.
