Dr. Jacob Cohen did a great job with my dental care. He was professional, gentle, and made me feel comfortable throughout my appointment. He explained everything clearly and took his time to make sure I was well taken care of. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Dr. Cohen to anyone looking for a skilled and caring
Your basic Medicaid dentist office with a lot of patients.
Not speedy, expect long wait time because there's just a high volume of people. Desk staff is very nice and cheerful, listed the order of people going back a few times so we could be prepared. When you go back the dental x ray person was very nice, the dentist assesses you thoroughly, dental cleaner is professional and good cleaning.
Overall I go back cause I'm on Medicaid and they take it, so I expect to be a wait because there's often a lot of patients who can't go elsewheres either. They are nice despite their high volume of work.
Just be prepared block out your afternoon so you dont miss anything else that day (I waited 3h) bring your book or ipad and chill out waiting lol. Only if they could have magazines tho it would be better :).
Jacob Cohen, Dentist helped me out. I was scheduled to see another dentist, which did not show. He had to take all his patients and all of the other dentist patients. He did so calmly and professionally. I had to wait a while because of this, but was able to be seen and have my teeth taken care of
Worst experience ever. I called in advance and explicitly explained that my permanent retainer was loose and needed to be re-cemented. The receptionist assured me that they could handle it and told me to come in.
However, after making the trip and wasting my valuable time, they turned me away at the front desk without even letting a doctor look at my teeth, claiming I "must go to an orthodontist."
A quick Google search clearly shows that a simple permanent retainer re-cementation is a standard procedure that general dentists do all the time. In fact, I went to another general dentist right after, and they fixed it for me with absolutely no issues. Booking an appointment just to turn a patient away at the door due to sheer incompetence and laziness is incredibly unprofessional. Avoid this place.
Dr. Jacob Cohen is a great dentist!! Examined my tooth a got to work on it with no delay and to the point. Explained what he will be doing before the process too. Thank you so much for your work.
Dear Metropolitan Dental Team,
I am writing to share what a wonderful experience I had at your office today.
I truly appreciate the thorough examination I received. Matt at the front desk was incredibly polite and helpful. I also enjoyed meeting the young lady who took my x-rays, and Roma who did a good job cleaning my teeth. Furthermore, I really enjoyed meeting with Dr. Albina my dentist, who looked at my x-rays and teeth thoroughly, and she gave me some suggestions and advice.
Thank you for the excellent care. I will certainly continue to come back and will be sure to recommend your practice to others.

Worst dentist in The NYC area.. 0 communication. Totally lack of accountability. On 3/14/26 the wait times for cleanings was over 1hour and 30 mins. With no explanation.. only to find out there was only one cleaner in the building. But about 15 people scheduled for a 9am-9:30am cleaning. I myself was scheduled for 9:30, Arrived on site at 9:18. Did X-rays at 9:57 and saw the doctor at 11:46… DONT VISIT THIS LOCATION
Jacob Cohen is a 10 out of 10. I have horrible anxiety when it comes to seeing a dentist but this was the BEST experience I've ever had. He was gentle, patient, and kind. I felt very comfortable.
