Sad to say after my appointment, I read a few more reviews saying about the same thing I’m about to say, Dr. Amor‘s bedside manner seriously needs to improve. I have severely chapped lips, and telling a patient you just need to put on Vaseline and start popping yourself with a rubber band every time you accidentally lick your lips is not helpful, nor appreciated. I’m a grown adult and would like to be treated as such. At this point by the time we’ve come in we are usually at our very end with the irritation, and would appreciate a little more understanding and empathy. She barely took a look at me, barely listened to a word I had to say, it was unprofessional, and disheartening. Sad to be reading a few other reviews similar to this one. I think it’s important that it be said and worked on. The other staff was extremely friendly and kind, I got in quickly, but walking out having to pay $150 for her to have looked at me for all of less than a minute and just tell me to pop myself with a rubber band is unacceptable.
I'm 70, meaning that my skin has plenty of scars from living life. Dr Pearson removed a squamous cell cancer node off of my arm and it was a fairly long incision, like 5 inches or so. After it was all said and done, you can barely see that my skin ever had an incision. Thanks to Dr Pearson whose skill was that of a plastic surgeon resulting in minimal scarring. Thank you Dr Pearson. And I want to thank the front desk and support staff for all of their kindness, courtesy, and professionalism. It's a well-run office.
I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent appointment I had at your clinic. I came in seeking help for a painful cyst-like issue near my tailbone. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed and deeply dissatisfied with the care I received.
Despite waiting approximately 20 minutes, my interaction with the doctor lasted no more than 2 minutes. During that time, the physician did not make eye contact, remained focused on typing into the computer, and seemed uninterested in fully understanding the situation. When I respectfully asked if he could stop typing and listen to me, he responded that he could "multi-task," which felt dismissive and unprofessional given the nature of my concern.
I was prescribed antibiotics without a thorough physical evaluation or discussion about potential treatment options. Based on my understanding and prior experience, issues like the one I presented often require more than medication—sometimes surgical intervention is necessary to resolve the problem effectively. I left the appointment in significant pain, without a plan, and with the impression that my concerns were not taken seriously.
I understand that providers are busy, but patient care—especially when someone is in visible discomfort—deserves more attention and respect. I am requesting a follow-up appointment with a different physician or a referral to a specialist (ideally a general or colorectal surgeon) who is willing to properly examine the issue and discuss all viable treatment options.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve future patient experiences. My tailbone still hurts by the way and getting worse.
Very much appreciate how attentive the entire staff at Dr. Pearson’s office from beginning at check in desk to the end at checkout desk. I thank Dr. Pearson for explaining stuff to me in details I can understand well. Definitely the entire team gets a 100% from me. Many thanks to everyone I encountered in today’s appointment and appreciate how smoothly the entire process worked.
Dr Pearson and his staff are so nice! They are helpful and willing to answer all of your questions without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend Dr Pearson!
Great location. Pleasant waiting area. Friendly staff. Knowledgeable physician assistant, Leah Bayliss, she's well on her way to being certified doctor to me. Great bedside manners.
Good listener. Explains the plan. Helpful nurse assistant was nice.
Leah caring and demonstrates professionalism and expertise. I have seen multiple professionals there and all have been wonderful. I have never had annual skin check-ups until I started coming here several years ago.
Lauren and Diana are consistent with their personal brand of patient engagement. Doctor Pearson has the best bedside manner in Houston. Thank all off y'all for the superior services.
