I am submitting a formal complaint regarding the treatment I received at your office today. I am currently a patient there, and this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with a medical or dental office.
I arrived seeking assistance because I am in severe tooth pain and was previously informed that, since there was no surgeon available to perform the extraction, I would need a referral sent elsewhere for treatment. All I asked for was help with that referral.
Instead of assisting me, the front desk manager told me I could not come inside and that I needed to return at 11:00 AM, despite the office opening at 10:00 AM. At the same time, I witnessed other patients with 11:00 AM appointments being allowed inside while I was being turned away.
When I tried to calmly explain that I was in excruciating pain and simply needed help, I was told to leave or the police would be called. Another employee was then brought over to repeat the same thing instead of helping resolve the issue. At no point was I threatening, aggressive, or attempting to cause problems. I was pleading for assistance while dealing with serious dental pain.
What made this even more upsetting is that this is not the first negative interaction I have had with this front desk manager. I understand if certain procedures cannot be performed at your office, but refusing to assist a patient in pain with a referral and threatening them with police involvement for asking for help is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
I believe patients deserve to be treated with basic respect, compassion, and professionalism, especially when dealing with severe pain and urgent dental issues. I would appreciate this complaint being reviewed seriously and addressed appropriately.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Let me start by saying that this place seems to operate with one primary motive: to take as much of your hard-earned money as possible. I’ve been there twice, and both experiences were concerning.
During my first visit, I went in for a routine cleaning. I was told that I had gum disease, which immediately raised a red flag. I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere, and it turns out I had no gum disease at all I simply needed to floss more consistently.
A few years later, I returned because I was experiencing pain in a tooth that had previously been filled. This time, I was told that I needed to have the tooth removed along with a bone graft. Almost immediately, a staff member handling financing approached me with paperwork, claiming that my insurance would not cover the procedure without even verifying with my provider. In reality, my insurance does cover it. She then suggested I consider braces to close the gap by shifting my teeth together, which felt excessive and inappropriate given that I am in my 30s and not twelve years old lol.
Today, I sought another professional opinion, and once again, the recommendations I received from this place were completely unnecessary. All I actually need is a root canal and a crown nothing more.
Based on my experience, this practice appears to prioritize billing and upselling over patient care. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who relies on them, as they do not seem to have patients’ best interests in mind. Instead, they appear focused on maximizing insurance claims and collecting as much money as possible.
This clinic is a rip off. Told my mom she needed dental implants (Articifical bone) in the middle of her getting her dentures done. They are the worse!
I recommend staying away from this place by all means necessary!
And fail to let her know that she was on a promotional payment period with Credit Care (Synchrony Bank). Now the period is over without her knowledge now she has a balance of $3100. on top of what she paid already of $69.00 for 18 months. Now she has to pay $58.00 for 5 years.
Stay away from this clinic!
In addition, the dentures are cheap and substandard!
What a rip off!
I would not go here ever again. I went in to get my tooth filling done on my top chipped teeth, and I was refused to be seen by the doctor. Every time you have to make an appointment, you go through a third-party, and the appointments are very far out. You have to wait months in order to get a procedure done .
To book an appointment you have to go through a third party which is Ridiculous! Everything is through request in which they take serval days just to get back with a proper response. They only seen children on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Very inconvenient for working parents. I do not recommend.
Five stars are all I can give, but I'm telling you they deserve 10! From receptionist to hygienist and Dentist. PHENOMENAL.... I'm back in 5 months so look out for an update
Cleanings are quick. I was initially advised to extract a tooth that had no inflammation or symptoms. After asking for the basis of the recommendation, it was changed to a root canal. A second opinion later indicated only a filling was needed. I recommend seeking a second opinion before proceeding with major treatment.
First time. Not sure if I’ll come back Waited over an hour to be seen.
Update: waited 90 mins to be seen, left from a cleaning with a piece of blackberry still stuck in back tooth. Girl at the front desk had an attitude when I asked her how long it would take for her to write up a referral after waiting almost 2 hours for my appointment.
