I was just discharged from this hospital. I went to the ED with symptoms of a heart attack and bad fall. The doctors were in no rush to perform the tests with the ex option of an EKG. The nurses and doctors were in no rush to co trol the level of pain I was feeling. Their pain management is nearly non existent especially ially when pushing the pain button on the remote.
However, they send to be quite in a rush to discharge me. They new i had chronic mobility issues and never offered a wheel chair upon discharge. When I got close to the security door I fell. After a few minutes someone happened to walk by with a wheel chair and was incredibly rude through the process of getting me into the wheelchair and into the car (i am choosing to leave his name out in the event he was just having a bad night - that in no way excuses the behavior and would appreciate an apology from this person). He asked me if I was okay I stated I was not okay - he did not offer any suggestions nor did the nurse who happen to come by.
I called after getting into the car to let the charge nurse know what happened. Only at that time was I offered to go through the whole ED process again. Of course I was not going back to a hospital that appeared to be neglectful of their patients and will be seeking care for the subsequent fall elsewhere.
In good faith I cannot reccomend this hospital.
I would be very careful, if you care about your health.. do not entry this (so called) hospital. I was admitted and I was never told my diagnosis. I was pushed, wheeled around like I was not a person. I was talked over, I was treated like I was stupid. I wanted out so bad. I was there for 2 days and never even offer water. I could go on and on. I planned on contact patients services and state licensing board. No one should be treated in such a matter
Yesterday, I had Anterior Decompression of C1, C2, C3 with fusion of C3, C4. Dr. Hawkins and his team performed my surgery. EVERYONE at the hospital; from my entry, Dr. Hawkins and his team, to Post-operative care; was absolutely stellar. I felt like I was in the best of care the entire time. I am simply grateful.
They are the best at treating Pulmonary arterial hypertension, of every doctor I've dealt with, in the Phoenix area. They are patient, thorough, and knowledgeable with all aspects of this condition. I wish I could express my appreciation in having found this provider, meere words aren't adequate. Exceptional, kind, informed. I thank all the staff and hope to be able to have them as my provider in this area, as I'm so lacking in ability to meet my obligation as a patient at a very complicated time of my life. Thank you for keeping me going 100 stars to you and your staff
If I could leave 0 stars I would. They made me sit with chest pain and asthma for 2 hours while letting all of the white patients go ahead I wasn’t allowed back into a room until the black doctor arrived. I was in there struggling to breath for hours. When I brought it up to the doctor his response was I’m not surprised! It’s also extremely dirty and all employees have an attitude problem. They told me there were no beds available but when the finally took me back into the room there were atleast 6 empty beds. DO NOT COME HERE. I could have died that day!
I went into the emergency room a couple weeks ago. I was very, very sick. It turned out I had pneumonia. I had gone to my primary care physician 4 days prior and they told me that I just had a bug and to stay hydrated and get lots of rest. I was so sick when I walked into the emergency room I could barely breathe. They were very nice to me although I don't remember the first couple of days very well. The nurses and staff were so nice to me and I want the hospital to know how special the nurse's they have are and not to take them for granted. I don't know what people's titles are because I saw so many different people from respiratory therapist to nurses and their helpers and just so many people but they were all very kind to me. There was a lady who brought me food sometimes, she was probably in her '40s or '50s with a European accent. She was short with light blonde hair. She was so special, she truly seemed concerned about me and really cared about how I was doing. It was just so amazing. All of my nurses were lovely. I got to know each and every one. Every time one went home I would be disappointed but I would get another one that I liked just as much. I'm going to fill out a review card for each of my nurses. I can't remember all their names but I will find them out because each and every one of them were so sweet to me and they really need to be recognized. I had a nurse when I went down to get my chest tubes, I had to get two chest tubes, but they were on separate days, I had the same nurse each time. He really reassured me and made it a lot less scary. They were different machines each time and he explained to me everything about how each procedure was going to be and was with me through the whole thing, I'm really grateful. He probably thinks I'm a drama queen though. Lol. I think his name was a Abe. He was pretty young, I think maybe twenties or early thirties. I hope the nurses realize what a difference they make to the patients because I was terrified. I have never been this sick before. The only time I had ever been to the hospital before was to have my children and I knew what to expect with that so having the nurse's there to comfort me really made a traumatizing experience so much better.
I have been out of the hospital for a couple weeks now. I'm still on IV antibiotics. I was scheduled to have a CT scan this weekend but when I got there unfortunately the doctor had forgotten to sign the prescription so we had to reschedule it. I hope my lungs are healing well. The doctor said it is a long process. I do have a swollen lymph node on the right side of my jaw but I don't think that has anything to do with it.
I just want John c. Lincoln to know what amazing nurses and staff they have and make sure they are treated right because I just would have died without them, literally.
I want you all to know that I'm very grateful for the way you all treated me there and I hope you know how special you are ❤️❤️❤️
Came to this hospital for my recent surgery, and I will be leaving review for my surgeon and her practice separately (still amazing) but wanted to share my experience with John C Lincoln here.
Intake and admission for my procedure was super smooth. I had a prior call from a nurse who was a delight and provided some important information for day of in follow up.
On the Day of I met Meghan in admissions who walked me through a very quick intake and hooked me up with the very fashionable wristband.
From there I was shuffled back to the next room and into the dreaded gown. But Carmen was amazing and the rest of the team was kind and patient too. I met with the team including anesthesiologist Dr. La who ensured everything was in order and I was all set with the ‘happy juice’ before being rolled back to surgery.
After I woke from surgery—Rachel was right there making sure I was oriented to my surroundings (my apologies for the nausea aftermath Rachel! But thank you for being so wonderful about it 😅)
Eventually I made my way to my overnight stay where Hannah and Vanessa and Jennifer so many others just went out of their way to make sure I felt like a superstar patient. Management Candace checked in. Even Shirley in food services had my back in recovery.
And when it was time for Discharge, Hannah assisted me on my way.
Seriously could not have a better team. Can’t express how appreciative I was for them. Wish I could have named everyone!
This hospital is the worst! The emergency room at least met our expectations BUT once we went into the ICU, DANG IT!!! THAT ICU SOUTH IS THE WORST!!! The rooms are small and just plain insufficient for comfort. There are no recliners, no sofas or love seats where we could be comfortable with our loved one as he recovered from a terrible fall! There is no "always present" nurse like there usually is in the ICU.
The only good about this place is their food.
