I'm the type of person who pays attention to everything when I visit a business because I truly believe customer service matters and that every part of the experience contributes to a business's success. Because of that, I tend to notice both the positives and the areas that could be improved. With that being said, Michelle Jeffries was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued. She has such a warm and genuine demeanor that instantly puts you at ease. In a time when many places can feel rushed or impersonal, Michelle took the time to create a positive experience and made me feel like more than just another appointment. She LISTENED TO EVERY CONCERN!
As someone who pays close attention to details, I did notice that another staff member seemed less engaged and not quite as welcoming. However, Michelle's professionalism, kindness, and exceptional customer service stood out so much that it ultimately defined my entire experience.
You can tell Michelle genuinely cares about the people she works with and takes pride in what she does. That level of care is rare and deserves to be recognized. I left feeling appreciated, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent service. Michelle is truly one of the best!!!
Have had nothing but good experiences. Needed to have my ear checked after my ear dr. Checked it, it was ok but 2 other questionable spots needed biopsies. I was.so lucky to get a nice scheduler that got me in that day & also lucky to get Sara who is very professional as is all the other people that work there. Would recommend them completely.
The staff at East Valley Dermatology Center is always very kind and helpful. I was running late to my appointment and accidentally called the wrong department within EVDC. When I asked to be transfered, the lady simply asked my information and said she would pass along the message for me. During that stressful situation it was such a blessing to have someone willing to go above and beyond. Dr. Geary is the absolute best. Her examinations are thorough and she is mindful to take the time necessary to explain precautionary measures to use to avoid the skin cancer from returning. She's the one doctor I look forward to seeing every six months.
I rarely leave reviews, but my experiences with this dermatology department have consistently left me feeling rushed, dismissed, and genuinely uncomfortable. Every visit feels less like patient care and more like being processed through an assembly line.
The most disrespectful moment came when I was actively asking a question and the lights in the room were literally turned off, an unmistakable cue that my time was up and I needed to leave. I honestly could not believe it happened. It was incredibly unprofessional and made me feel like my concerns were an inconvenience rather than the reason for the appointment.
To make matters worse, I later noticed my dermatologist leaving the building in a rush with a car full of balloons. I completely understand that people have lives, schedules, and events outside of work, and I also understand appointments can sometimes run over. However, this was my annual appointment until they decided it wasn’t. This is something patients often wait months for and reasonably expect not to be rushed through.
Beyond that, the overall atmosphere has often felt cold and judgmental. Patients should not leave a medical office feeling embarrassed for simply asking questions or seeking help. Dermatology can already make people feel vulnerable enough without adding dismissive behavior on top of it.
Efficiency is one thing. Basic respect and bedside manner are another. Unfortunately, this office seems to have confused the two.
The doctor was very helpful and gave me great information. Front office staff was the best! I have worked in the medical field for over 30 years (in the office setting and hospital, along with teaching) and I was very impressed with how friendly and professional the front office was. The medical assistant must have been having a bad day. That's all I will say about that.....
Check-in was fast and easy. I only had to wait for the doctor for five minutes before I was called to go to the exam room. As always doctor Geary was pleasant, thorough and efficient. All my questions were answered. I definitely give them a five star rating.
Julie Silver is just wonderful. She is not only always smiling, she makes a trip to the doctor a positive thing. She is incredibly professional and a great medical provider.
Absolutely terrible experience with Tamara Casillas! This was one of the most unprofessional, rude, and uncomfortable medical appointments my wife has ever had. If Google would let me give zero stars I would.
From the moment the visit began, there was a complete lack of basic professionalism. She did not introduce herself, did not ask a single meaningful question about why my wife was there, and showed no interest in actually understanding her. Another doctor had requested a biopsy and it was as if she had no clue that there was a purpose for the visit.
Instead, the entire appointment felt like a sales pitch for Dupixent. She repeatedly pushed this medication, claiming it “works for everything” and has helped many people, yet could not clearly explain what my wife’s actual diagnosis was or why this treatment was appropriate in her specific case. She asked" What do I have to do to make you see that this is what you really need?" To which, through tears, my wife said "I'm here for a biopsy." It was alarming to see such a strong push for a medication without a clear clinical explanation or any patient consideration discussion.
Even more concerning was the complete disregard for patient dignity and privacy. My wife was given no real opportunity to change comfortably. She was instructed to do so while the provider remained present and watching. This was incredibly inappropriate and made an already bad experience far worse.
Overall, this appointment showed a disgusting lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect. Patients deserve to be listened to, properly evaluated, and treated with dignity. None of that happened here.
We will absolutely not be returning!
