I just starting going to De Zavala Dental, due to a broken molar. They were able to get me in quickly. Everyone I dealt with during my appointment, from the dentist to the dental assistant to the front office were highly professional and helpful. I will definitely be going back--in fact I already have my next appointment. One very small suggestion--I ignorantly went in thinking that I would be done with my appointment within an hour. I will certainly ask going forward--I know it's my responsibility. But they may want to tell the patient how long the procedure will last when scheduling the appointment.

Dr. Bednarik and the staff here are fantastic. They are the most friendly, attentive group I have ever encountered at a dental clinic. My dental hygienist Brianna was exceptionally gentle and explained each step before performing it, so there were no surprises at any point. Patricia was also incredibly helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly. After the procedure, she even applied vitamin E lip balm, which is something I have never experienced at a dental office and made me feel genuinely cared for. Dr. Bednarik herself was outstanding. She was patient with my questions and regularly checked in with me throughout the procedure to make sure I was comfortable. This was without a doubt the best dental experience I have had! I cannot recommend them enough.

I changed my appointment to 3pm from 4pm. I waited over an hour to be seen. Then they went over a treatment plan with me to where they were going to charge me over $10k all of the mountain this treatment plan didn’t make any sense to me. When I called my insurance BCBS they went over the plan & couldn’t figure out why was I paying out of pocket of an amount of $2200.00 they wanted to balance bill. Means they can charge more as in the insurance pays out the max amount, but the pt is responsible for the leftover balance. My husband and I were like OK we have the money we could just pay it now or we can do CareCredit and do that. But I only went in for a cleaning treatment. Wasn’t even supposed to be a deep clean just a regular basic cleaning and you know the normal x-rays and pictures of my mouth. This dental office went so far by putting all these crazy amount’s on my treatment plan made me a little suspicious but yet they wanted me to fork out and pay out of my own pocket of $2200. That’s absurd I called my old dentist to see what was going on because I just saw my old dentist this year on January 08, 2026. Because he was out of town for quite some time. So when I called and he looked over everything, he said that is crazy. I did your recent. Extraction and they wanna pull out all these teeth charge you for it bill the insurance have you responsible to pay the balance do more treatment no. So my insurance told me yeah NO!!! We have to go somewhere else or back to ur old dentist. So I’m so done with people taking advantage of the insurance claims really! I am a medical biller & coder & dental insurance is a lot different but come on. I got a 2nd Opinion today and nothing to where I’ll be over charged including paying a lot out of pocket! I’m only paying $426.60 out of pocket compared to $2200.00 Eve BCBS was like wow thats crazy! Never again will I go back to these people & will I ever refer nope! A waste of time literally. For all the NEW PATIENTS WATCH OUT be prepared.

First, this place smells like sewer. They said smell was being addressed. It never went away. Sewer smell is bad for health. 2nd, Dr.Blaess was very rude in the two interactions I had with her. First when reviewing pricing on veneers. She didn’t like me questioning why I need this or that. 3rd, I notice they kept charging me for a cleaning when I am 100% covered. I asked if if I was in network. They said yes. I asked why I am charged everytime I have a cleaning. Dr.Blaess happened to be at the front desk as well. Receptionist said it’s a copay. I said I don’t have a copay. Dr. Jumped in and said it’s a copay, I said, no I don’t have a copay, i read my benefits and I don’t have one and I have never been charged one. Dr. said, “well maybe they didn’t collect, but you do have a copay.” I said I just read my benefits. Dr. asked reception to look up my charges. She went through my 3 past visits and even said they did me a favor by charging me the insurance rate for last cleaning which I paid out of pocket; my other Dr. did the same, this is very common. Turns out they charge a ten dollar fee for some clean air something. No apology for misinforming me. Still smells like sewage in there. Then hygienist I guess didn’t like me questioning or challenging Dr. because she gave me a 15min cleaning. Worst cleaning I have ever had and attitude from Dr. and Hygeinist I have ever encountered. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend. It shouldn’t be this way. I’ll go back to my nice and professional Dentist who doesn’t charge fees and who’s office doesn’t stink.

What an amazing experience and they actually stayed open to treat an emergency infection. Dr Irene Blaess and staff took wonderful care of me and I felt like family there. Trish, Brianna, Karina (I was in so much pain I’m not sure if I got everyone’s name right ) were so kind and made me feel like I was a loved cousin they were taking care of! If you need a little extra care and want to feel like you belong there, I highly recommend having DeZavala Dental handle all your Dentistry needs!!! I live 700 miles away and will visit for all my orthopedic care!
