2-14 -26 - At this clinic in Astoria, the staff was very attentive to us, Thanks to Dr. Tenzing Sherpa and the X-ray tech.
I have an observation to make.
Before arriving at the Astoria clinic, we had an appointment at the Corona CityMD . When we arrived at 11:00am, the assistant told us the X-ray tech wasn't there , told me to go to Jackson Heights CityMD. So we went to JH clinic and the X-ray tech wasn't there either. The assistant told me to go to Astoria, This time, I did call to confirm that they had a tech. I think the staff at each CityMD branch should make sure that the technicians are present when they send a patient to another clinic. I would have saved myself money on Ubers and time.
They don’t care if you’re sick. Will prescribe and diagnose based on an assumption. Better to go see your PCP or another urgent care. I will never be back. Wasted my time and money.
I broke a rib and went to city MD for an x ray to confirm . Everyone there was super nice. Didn’t wait long. Doctor Zack was very attentive, professional and friendly. Got x rays and confirmation of broken rib right away. I will definitely go back to this City MD if I’m in need of urgent care.
My mom almost died because of this urgent care. She presented with a long-term cough that kept worsening after being exposed to someone sick. She could barely breathe. They listened to her back with a stethoscope for all but a second or too. Prescribed her a cough suppressant not stronger than the OTC one. She kept getting sicker and two days later went to an urgent care that took an x-ray and she has low oxygen levels and has pneuomonia! They did other treatments there as well and gave several prescriptions. She’s elderly they should have done this here because she’s high-risk. Thank God she got a second opinion. Don’t go here. They also see you super briefly and the wait is very long.
I went to this location end of last year for an elbow injury.
They gave me an X-ray and the doctor said there were no issues with the bone and I just sprained it a little. And tbh, he treated me like I was being dramatic. I was really embarrassed because I felt like I wasted everyone’s time.
I was still hurt after a few weeks so I took the same X-rays to another doctor at NYU, and she immediately noticed a dislocation.
My elbow was dislocated and I had some cartilage damage and all the surrounding ligaments were torn.
Mistakes happen, but it bothers me that they treated me so poorly. They treated me like I was making up the severity of the injury. This made me wait several extra weeks before I sought more help and it delayed my recovery by a long time.
This was months ago and I’m still in PT.
The doctor’s (Dr Singh, I think?) exact words were “just wait a week. If it still hurts, wait another week”
If this was a mistake but he treated me well, I wouldn’t feel like writing this review but he treated me poorly.
Very friendly staff. Very large place. I got my shingles shot here and they took good care of my husband when he was sick. The doctor's are very caring.
This past Sunday I went to city MD in Astoria and when I walked in they said there was a flood. I heard the staff talking that the water was from the toilets. I waited around to see what would happen and no one came to clean. They just kept seeing patients. I watched the staff and patients walked through contaminated water. I was so repulsed I left. Never again will I go and I am reporting you to the department of health. This is unsanitary and you obviously don't care about the safety of your staff or patients. Next time I'm just going to a different urgent care. This is disgusting.
