I had an eye injury/infection that was making work/life difficult. My local urgent care rushed me out and gave me medication that possibly worsened the condition. Dr. Fisher was incredibly helpful. I felt comfortable and confident that my eye would recover, and it did! I didn’t have to wait long to be seen, and the appointment lasted a reasonable amount of time. Dr. Fisher was thorough and communicated with me exactly what I needed to know. I would absolutely recommend anyone I know to go here.

I've worn glasses since fourth grade, and my experience with Barnett Dulaney Perkins was the worst of my life. The tech who examined me missed that I needed prisms. When my new glasses arrived, I had double vision and couldn't wear them. Dr Pongratz refused to test me for my prism level, saying it would do "more harm than good" to update the reading. Since I paid for a new prescription, I thought I should get one, but nope. I had to go to the office with my old glasses so they could read it from there. Then it took them 4 days to send the updated prescription, which only happened when I threatened to lodge complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the AZ State Board of Optometry. Another three weeks wait and I had updated glasses. I wonder how much better I would see if my prisms were updated too. I will never return to this office and recommend you find a different vision center.

When a company takes the time to respond to my feedback and acknowledge the reality, that's a big deal and a rare find today. I changed my updated review again. I'm grateful. Like most things in life today, it demands patience... It took three tries to get the correct prescription, but they worked with me and finally got it done. Thank you! One star previous review updated. I always appreciate when people make good but here's a few details of why it's only a four star: The office provided me with an incomplete prescription. The eyeglass store and I contacted them by phone and received no responses (quoted 24 hours). Stopped by in person. (the office is not close to me) and still no response from that visit. Left a Portal message and waited another day.

This practice does not care about people’s wellbeing. This dr was recommended by another dr whom my friend works for. My partner has a medical eye emergency. At the end of his day he got metal with contaminants in his eye. He is a plumber. They refused to see him due to not being a current patient until Tuesday. He could very realistically go blind or worse waiting Friday-Tuesday to get this metal and clear out the contaminants from his eye. This was the case with multiple practices which is extremely frustrating. Especially when urgent care and the ER are denying service stating he needs an emergency ophthalmologist. If a medical professional is unwilling to help during an emergency (when they provide emergency services) then why would someone trust them with regular maintenance or ongoing care? I wouldn’t.

It’s been years since I’ve been into this place. Last year was a horrible experience with them. My best bet you should go to Vision Wellness. The one in Avondale. What happened is that I didn’t have cash on hand at that time, and that my card wasn’t working. They canceled my appointment early and what the receptionist didn’t told me there was a bank nearby so I could go there myself and give them some money. I felt embarrassed, stupid and flustered, because they didn’t give me an option to get my appointment done on time. I was 20 minutes early or earlier because my mom at the time had the appointment same day as me. Never again would I come back here anyways, people seemed so negative and unhappy with their services and I’m happy with my new glasses. Don’t apply pressure on paying customers, it’s bad business. I paid 500 on my new pair somewhere else. Thank you, Barnet Dulaney.

Like a few of young ladies first being interviewed, the eye doctor didn't care for her at all bad attitude she had made me feel. Very uncomfortable wouldn't advice my friends are family too this lady eye doctor. THANK YOU 😊

I had to wait one and half hour, but I really didn't mind. The eye doctor was great and very helpful. Can't wait to see you next year. Also the staff were really nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. Thank you.

I love working with Dr. Pongratz; she is really keeping me on track from glaucoma and cataracts. She makes me feel at ease when I talk to her. The girls that work with her are great too.
