i've rated four stars as sometimes i have to wait longer than expected (like over 4 weeks) for appointments after booking through klinik but other than that i love this surgery so much! booking online is so useful as my old clinic in oxfordshire before i was a uwe student would only take phone calls and only did face to face appointments so it wasn't too accessible for me as an autistic physically disabled person, but now that's not an issue at all, and booking telephone calls has been very useful. i also wanted to add a special thanks here to my "primary" mental health nurse hilary willis, who has only ever listened to me and treated me with respect, gave me a full diagnosis of anxiety and depression, helped me with getting my autism reassessed after the nhs seemed to lose my childhood diagnosis and i had no paper record of it, as well as currently helping me through referring to a dissociation service to discuss DID symptoms i've been trying to get assessed for and helped with for a very long time now. i'm so grateful for her kindness and willingness to do all she can do to get me the support i need!

I am very disappointed with the standard of care provided by this practice. For several months, I have been struggling with recurring health problems, including a sore throat, sinus issues, and headaches. Despite repeatedly seeking help, I feel that my symptoms have been dismissed and not taken seriously. When I was able to secure appointments, I was simply told that everything was fine, without any thorough investigation, basic tests, or attempt to identify the cause of my recurring symptoms. To this day, I have not received a clear diagnosis or a plan for further treatment. I am also concerned about the level of service provided at reception. On one occasion, while sitting in the waiting area, I called the practice because I was unable to get assistance at the desk. At the time, the receptionist appeared to be looking at social media on her phone rather than assisting patients. During the call, I was informed that I was fifth in the queue, despite being physically present in the practice. This experience left me feeling ignored and frustrated and raised concerns about how patient enquiries are prioritised. As a patient, I expect a professional approach, a thorough assessment of my health concerns, and appropriate steps to determine the underlying cause of my symptoms rather than being reassured without proper investigation. Unfortunately, my experience with this practice has been very disappointing.

Visited the GP surgery today, everything was well organised. Super efficient appointment, the medical note that I requested came through few hours after my appointment they were very quick. I highly recommend Old School Surgery.

I honestly can’t rate this place highly enough. It’s so rare now a days to be happy with your doctors surgery but since changing over surgeries I’ve been so impressed. Really prompt requires from the klinix / reception team. Attentive doctors and nurses and I don’t struggle to get an appointment when it’s needed. 10/10 you’re obviously doing something very right in a time where most surgeries are going very wrong!

In-person, the surgery has been great. Lovely nurses, and have been very supportive of how generally horrible women’s healthcare is. However, contacting and making appointments through the surgery’s klinik-online system has been confusing and distressing. The klinik forms ask which hours you are unable to be reached within; however they call up 2-3 times in these hours regardless of multiple mentions on the form of “I am NON-contactable between 9-3 due to high risk work,” then when I patients are available and do attempt to call back the surgery there’s a 10 minute call-queue to speak with the receptionist, then you have to wait another few hours (which is unideal as this is usually nearing the end of the day/surgery closing time — so this is sometimes pushed to the next day, when you are again contacted during non-contactable hours) to discuss your issues with a health professional. I think the klinik online system needs to be reviewed, or in the least patients could be contacted during the hours asked and communicated.

Very responsive and I was attended to immediately. I just booked an appt hoping to get one within the day, and Yes I was able to. Got 2 phone calls from the receptionist the same day making sure that everything will be taken cared regarding my concerns. Special thanks to Julie Grant the practicing nurse for warmly welcoming me and making me feel better.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding both the delay in issuing a prescription and the unacceptable conduct of a member of your reception staff. Over a week ago (approximately 10 days), we submitted a request for a prescription. During this time, we received no communication or update regarding its status. As a result, I contacted the surgery today to follow up. During the call, the receptionist I spoke to was extremely rude and dismissive. She stated that the prescription had already been sent, which is not accurate, as my partner has not received any notification or confirmation. When I politely explained this and also requested that our prescriptions not be sent to that pharmacy due to distance, her attitude became even more unprofessional, and she abruptly ended the call by hanging up. I find this behaviour completely unacceptable. Patients often contact the surgery while already feeling unwell or anxious, and they should be treated with respect, patience, and professionalism. The attitude displayed was inappropriate for a healthcare setting and does not reflect the level of care expected. I would like this matter to be formally investigated, including: • The delay in processing the prescription • The conduct of the receptionist during the call I would also appreciate confirmation of where the prescription has been sent and assurance that our preferred pharmacy will be updated moving forward. I look forward to your response. Yours faithfully,

Attila Berta

I came to this practice as a new patient after reading many very positive reviews, especially about how helpful and welcoming the staff and doctors are. Unfortunately, my first experience was the complete opposite.I found Dr. Lidia Harter to be unfriendly and dismissive. The way my concerns were handled made me feel uncomfortable and honestly discouraged from wanting to return to this practice. From the very first introduction, the overall attitude felt cold and unapproachable. For me, it is extremely important to be treated with basic kindness and respect, especially in a medical setting. Sadly, this was not my experience here. As a result, I do not feel comfortable returning, and I am certain that I will not be seeing this doctor again.
