I had a telephone appointment yesterday and I wanted to share how positive the experience was.
Dr On, was genuinely one of the best I’ve ever spoken to. She was kind, empathetic and really took the time to listen to my concerns without making me feel rushed or dismissed. I felt heard and supported, I was offered thoughtful advice that made a real difference.
In all my years attending the practice, I’ve never felt strongly about seeing the same doctor again until now. Very often it feels like you’re just another appointment to get through, however, this experience was different.
I rather wait longer for an appointment just to speak with Dr On again.
Thank you for such a reassuring and compassionate consultation.
Not long been at silverlock I am used to apps like patient access nhs. Always been simple but when I joined silverlock was told evergreen app to book appointments and order repeat prescriptions at the touch of button great stuff first order in April went fine, then I noticed the order repeat prescriptions options disappeared I could not order so I rang to be told it will come back on when yr prescription is due in June .. my prescription I should have on June 14 so tried to order today as I only have 4 days of medication left so today I go to the app to order my prescription guess what I can’t order it it contact yr gp surgery so I ring them at 8am 3rd in the queue 8 25 I get a answer ask the person why I can’t order my prescription on the app they said it’s the evergreen app I have to contact them myself. I only want to order my prescription if I want to do that I have to come to the surgery but Im in Artrial Fibulation and got a heart of 155 BPM but you still have to come in to order yr prescription so of I go to the gp heart rate bouncing around at 155 137 after she tells me she will give the email to evergreen to get access to my prescription so I lose my temper with her and and then says I activated yr prescription so you can order now , you what sorry so I didn’t have to walk to the gp or talk to evergreen She could of activated my prescriptions on the phone and saved me the walk with a heart rate of 155 This was a total inconvenience to me this could of put in a ambulance and blue lighted to the A&E the app says you can order yr prescription through the app they should be allowed to switch this off I will also say the past 3 time all as been good but today walking with Artrial fibrillation and a heart rate of 155 was no joke and dangerous I only wanted to use the app to order my prescription
Dr. On is an amazing doctor!
Her proactive approach in asking as many questions as possible to understand the underlying cause of my condition, made me feel that I am in good hands. She carefully considered all my symptoms, and prescribed the most suitable medication. Alongside explaining in details what I am going through, she also made sure we have set a suitable follow-up plan. I have been seen by her couple of times before and each interaction was dealt in the most professional and outstanding way!
Considering that it can sometimes be patience-testing to navigate health systems like these, my experience when dealing with Silverlock is such a positive, easy and coherent process.
Dealing with the inevitably uneven terrain of support with ADHD can be a pretty hairy task, but the support, guidance and human-centric advice I got from the conversation with Ruby, was genuinely helpful and motivating toward continuing down this path.
Be patient and happy with these guys and they’ll return it even more so.
I had a wonderful experience at my GP Silverlock Medical Centre. Starting over the phone with the receptionist until I met Dr On.
Dr On was fantastic, professional yet warm and friendly. Dr On patiently was listening to me while I was explaining the reason of my visit.
I want to hugely Thank Dr On for making me feel at my ease throughout my medical visit,
Had an amazing experience with Dr On this morning. So much so that I threatened her with only asking for her in future. Totally thorough, understanding and professional ( as well as an amazing sense of humour, which often goes a long way). It didn't go unnoticed that I went beyond the time limit allocated to me in order to understand and treat me effectively. I came away feeling in very safe hands.
I had an appointment 17th feb 26 at 4:15pm and YES was 10 minutes late. No more than that. I had spoken to my doctor the week before about not being able to book and attend appointments due to coming from Clapham as my children go school there and in Balham. I don’t book knowing I can’t make it. I specifically told her why I can’t make it unless it’s an appointment after 4:20pm as I know I won’t make it on time from Clapham and she said she’ll book me for 4:15pm as that’s the latest appointments they have. I’m also keeping in mind I can be up to 10 minutes late. I get there and it’s on the dot 4:25pm. I put my name in the check in machine as there are loads of people by the door and didn’t want to wait for the few to check in and it says speak to reception which I did. She said she’ll write to the doctor. I wait for 25 minutes to be told I won’t be seen. I explained the circumstances to reception said sorry it’s doctors choice. Didn’t want to mention it as loads of people was around or make a scene but the lady who walked in behind me was late and had to go to the front desk like myself and sign in. She had been told to wait like myself but then her name gets called. I thought ok. 4 people go in before me and I was there before them?!. Absolutely racist! Why was it ok for this white person to be late and be seen, but not me? I then leave because I’m absolutely fuming. I call the gp and a different receptionist answers and says she’s been working here from September as if I care and that it’s 9 minutes late time. It’s always been 10 minutes. I’ve been going to the GP for over 4 years! Look at the time I came in on camera. I’m glad this happened because would I really want racist doctors to pretend to care for me?
GPs and nurses are great but receptionist are very unhelpful.
(1) I tried to book a nurse appointment with the receptionist over the phone for an injection. Receptionist reacted as if this is something ridiculous
(2) My repeat prescription got lost between GP and pharmacist. Contacted reception on the phone and they said they can fix it THIS TIME ONLY and offered me alternatives that don’t work
