We really enjoyed our visit to the spa overall. It was a little frustrating that you can’t simply walk in and use the facilities when it suits you, as you have to wait to be called when a slot becomes available. That said, the service more than made up for it. Denise was absolutely outstanding and a real credit to the spa – kind, friendly and genuinely attentive. Tiana also did an excellent job with my 50-minute massage, taking the time to properly work through the knots and delivering a thorough and thoughtful treatment. Overall, it was a lovely experience.
Overall experience was good. We got the Spa & Sky Evening Experience.
The spa:
The Spa was relaxing and they had many great facilities. My favourite was the salt cave so be sure to check it out. However, on the flip side we noticed that some things were not working such as one of the rain showers and the water spout in the pool. The staff were friendly and the refreshments were a nice touch that helped us have a relaxing evening.
The treatment:
Our treatments were 25 minutes long. We noticed however, that the time between being taken upstairs to the treatment room and the completion of the treatments were only 15 minutes, cutting the total treatment time by 10 minutes. I got the Swedish back massage which I thought was ok, however my friend got the Indian head massage and found that they felt slightly worse off in the neck after the massage. I assume the quality of the massage will depend on the masseuse you get. But overall, this experience was ok, wish the treatment was the full 25 minutes or at least 20 minutes.
Dinner at Sky bar:
The drinks were amazing! Super flavourful and unique, loved the lemon cheesecake drink.
The starters were also very good, we got the asparagus burrata (which was somewhat bland but still refreshing) and the garlic parm chicken that was super flavourful, tender and crispy! Loved it.
The mains were a bit of a miss for us. We got the plant burger which was ok but the fries it came with were super crispy and delicious. I got the lemon and oregano chicken. The chicken itself was very dry and bland, you can't taste the lemon unfortunately and the dryness very quickly started to feel like sandpaper, the potato salad it came with was also equally bland and surprisingly dry in the mouth unfortunately. That being said, the pickled gherkin, charred courgette, rocket & tomato salad were really good and the only aspect of the dish that added some flavour and moistness. It was disappointing that we were unable to pack the food away to takeaway as I had planned to take the dish apart and reconstruct it with some flavour and tenderness. However, I understand why it wasn't possible due to health and safety and a previous issue stated from the waiter as someone had fallen sick from leftovers previously. I do hate to waste food so it was a little disappointing.
The desserts were so good! The chocolate and orange torte was smooth, decadent and the perfect consistency. It was great to end on a high note.
Overall I would rate the package a 7/10, The spa and facilities were a 9/10 - if all features were working, it would be a 10/10, The treatment was a 6/10 - if the treatments were closer in length to the time we paid for, it could have been an 8 or 9/10 and finally for dinner, the drinks were 9.5/10, the starters were 8/10, the mains were a 4/10 and the dessert was an 8/10. Thank you for the experience!
Lovely spa and an enjoyable day. We had use of the spa for four hours, a fabulous massage, and a two course lunch in the Sky bar. Everything was great, but these little tweeks, in my opinion, would make it a great experience. Extra loungers were needed as they are taken very quickly. Hooks on the back of toilet doors would have been useful as nowhere to hang towels or robe when going to the toilet. Brighter lighting in ladies for applying make-up would have been nice and a better hairdryer. Bags for wet swimwear in the changing rooms. All in all a lovely day out.
Booked the spa day with afternoon tea included. Lovely modern place with a brilliant outdoor jacuzzi, heated tiled sunbeds and clean facilities. The only downside was the size of the ladies changing rooms. Was wayyyyyyy too small and caused so much stress for the ladies cramped into it. 25 minute massage 15-20 minutes not the full 25 or anywhere near which was a shame as the lady doing my massage was lovely and very talented. Just those few minutes cut short felt unfair. Afternoon tea was lovely with a beautiful view! Definetly worth the visit....
Booked spa day with 2 course lunch and use of spa facilities for 4 hours on 12/02/26
Skybar staff confirmed it was a spa package we had booked.
Lovely lunch, we personally didn’t need two courses but as it was included….
When the bill came out was much higher than the two soft drinks we expected to pay for.
Raised this with the manager who said there was only an allowance of £25 per head for the package.
I showed her that there was no where on the offer or the booking confirmation of this and that if we’d known we would have ordered within the budget or been prepared to pay the extra.
She said the spa should have told us, and that she would contact them.
(Hopefully will hear back)
We arrived at the spa and explained what had happened and was told by the lady at reception that the whole meal was included in the package we had booked, and there shouldn’t have been an extra charge. I asked for this to be looked into as if what the skybar manager had said was correct, then the offer was very misleading and that they needed to review their communication.
I will wait to hear back from both parties as our “relaxing” experience went off to a not very relaxing start!
For a first visit, despite the above, the spa facilities were great and I would recommend it. A selection of drinks were also included.
We arrived at a time that wasn’t too busy and able to make good of the facilities. It did get busier after 5 but still a good experience.
My sister surprised me with an incredible spa package at Santai Spa, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The package included full spa access, a 30-minute massage, and lunch at Sky Bar—all for a fantastic price. From the moment we arrived, everything was well thought out. We were provided with bathrobes, towels, and slippers, and we also had access to complimentary drinks, which added a perfect touch to the experience.
The highlight was undoubtedly the 30-minute massage we received from two lovely ladies working on the 4th of February. I, unfortunately, didn’t catch their names, but the massage was the best we’ve ever had. My back massage was done by a Black lady, and wow—her passion for her work was undeniable. I could feel the dedication in every movement, and I walked out of that session feeling like a completely new person. It was truly an unforgettable experience!
My wife and I visited Santai Spa today using a pre-booked and confirmed gift voucher. The experience started off poorly when the receptionist asked us to pay before we even mentioned the voucher, which should have been noted from our booking confirmation. This felt unprofessional and caused unnecessary confusion.
The spa itself feels like it needs significant renovation. While some areas were under maintenance, this didn’t impact us much, but the overall environment—including the lockers and changing rooms—was below the expected standard for a spa at this price level.
We were required to sign a notice that mobile phones are not allowed, yet we noticed many guests using their phones around the facility, showing rules aren’t well enforced. The outdoor hot tub has a maximum capacity of six people at a time, and during busy periods, guests should ideally limit their time to 15 minutes to allow others to enjoy it. Unfortunately, this was not the case; at one point, more than six people crowded the hot tub, indicating that staff and guests are not respecting the rules.
The massage treatment was okay but lasted only 20 minutes instead of the promised 25. The sauna and steam room were fine for what they were.
We were supposed to have complimentary parking, but when validating the ticket, the receptionist hadn’t applied the discount, so we had to pay for parking ourselves.
On a positive note, the outdoor hot tub has a lovely view and the water temperature was a comfortable 36 degrees.
Overall, the spa needs better management and maintenance. Disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on today’s visit.
Have attended this spa on multiple occasions for the twilight spa evening. They have complimentary juices available and provide robes and slippers. The spa is reasonable if you are able to get on offer. There is more luxurious spas available if you don’t mind spending an extra £15. However this is quick and easy and an overall “nice” experience. The jacuzzi on the balcony is the best part. Besides the sauna and steam room and pool there isn’t anything else going on here.
