This is such a lovely hospital. Twice I've been to A&E here and each time the staff have been so lovely and caring and made me feel at ease. They are very thorough and will be sure to check everything multiple times. The wait time cannot be helped, and people don't cut them enough slack

Extremely disappointing experience in the Urgent Care department. The receptionist I dealt with was rude, dismissive, and showed a complete lack of professionalism. Her communication was poor, and she made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a patient seeking help. Reception staff are the first point of contact, especially in urgent care where patients may already be worried, unwell, or in pain. Patients should be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, but I experienced the exact opposite. There was no empathy, no willingness to help, and not even basic courtesy. This attitude is completely unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Management needs to address the standards of communication, professionalism, and patient care within the Urgent Care reception team. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, not made to feel unwelcome when they need medical assistance.

My misses had a laparoscopy on Monday (9/3/26) from walking through the front door in the day surgery she was treated with the utmost respect, the lady in reception (I'm sorry I didnt catch her name but it was early morning around 07:30am) was amazing, I explained that my misses has severe ptsd around hospitals, she bent over backwards to make sure she was comfortable, we then saw Caroline, again, compassion and care from her was just out of this world, Maureen was next! Maureen i love you! One of the lords angels sent to this earth to look after people like my misses! Absolute legend! Not to mention all the other nurses we saw in the corridors so polite and friendly! After her operation performed by Mr Parfitt and his amazing team, Mr P. Put my misses at ease, very lovely kind and caring! We was then sent to Pioneer ward while she recovered, Trisha, Marie, Liz, Alan and again, the other nurses we didnt catch the names of, you all give nurses a good name! They way you handled Molly & her PTSD was just beautiful! I wish you all, they very best & all the happiness you deserve! So in short, To the big wigs at Rochdale infirmary, leave the hospital as it is! Go see the doctors & nurses on these two wards speak to them, ask what you can do to help them do their jobs but leave it to them to run it! Amazing! P.s, every time I think back to how my Queen was treated, I feel so honoured and I fill up because she was treated how she should be! Thank you from the very bottom of my heart! Love to all that looked after Molly! Xx

I recently had a hysteroscopic surgery with Dr. E. Lewis at Rochdale Infirmary, and my nurse was Hannah. I had an excellent experience. The specialist team was highly professional, and the anaesthesia team was outstanding. All the nurses were very kind and professional. I am extremely satisfied with the care I received.

Came for my surgery on 17th March and I could not fault any of the staff in the day surgery unit. They were all very friendly and reassured me everything was going to be okay! Unfortunately due to my temperature being a little high, I was shifted from the morning list to the afternoon list The nurses, support workers, the surgeons and everyone in between were fantastic

This is the 2nd time I have been to URGENT CARE at Rochdale. The receptionist are really approachable and friendly. The atmosphere is up beat..Today I visited the eye care unit ( Sunday ). The department is closed at weekends but they have an on call optometrist. The guy I saw today ( Sunday 1st of March ) was brilliant.. He was on call at several hospitals. Good job. Thank you. I have had a kidney stones removed at the day care surgery and i was impressed with the service and the staff. I upset that the infirmary doesn't have an A&E and Labour birth department and other services we need our healthcare services back. We have to travel to Oldham and Bury which is pretty far for everyone who live in Rochdale

We came down as a family yesterday following an incident with my toddler, the team attended to us on time showing empathy, right from the receipt to the unit we stayed. I want to say thank you especially to the Nurse wearing light blue Nurses uniform for your care and empathy, my son is much better, Thank you God Bless you
