My every experience at this GP surgery has been positive. The practice environment is so welcoming. Doctor and nurses team is truly fantastic.
They go above and beyond to provide top-notch health care. I was running late for my wife’s appointment I spoke to lady on reception and she helped us so politely. It is so great to have supportive GP surgery which understands patients situation. I always feel well informed and confident in treatment.
My family and I have always received excellent care at Pearl Medical Centre. The reception team is consistently friendly, professional, and very helpful. In particular, Dr Zahirud and Dr Rumana are outstanding at what they do. They make patients feel comfortable, take the time to listen carefully to concerns, and never make you feel rushed during appointments.
I came to this surgery last year and at the time, I assumed I was primenapause. I was seen by Dr Hafsa. I requested for a blood test. I broke down in tears due to low mood, She declined and said they don’t offer blood test. I decided to change my GP surgery and my new surgery offered me a blood test. It was confirmed I had hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) in addition to this my symptoms overlapped with primenpause. I am one very lucky individual as it was caught on time. Any longer I would have had Grave disease and ill health. I am seeking treatment with Endocrinologist team. A routine blood test was all that was needed. Had I not changed Gp practice it would have cost me my health.
I am coming every day for my dressings. I am very happy with this surgery, they call me to remind about my appointments everyday.
Thankyou for looking after your patients pearl medical centre
I wanted to highlight the excellent service I received from the receptionist Fahad, during my visit today, he was professional, approachable, and extremely helpful in resolving my query and with the appointment. It made the whole process much easier and left a very positive impression.
Thank you to Fahad for providing such outstanding service.
Pearl medical centre best and top quality GP in Birmingham.
I had a great experience at Dr Hussain’s surgery. The doctors are very helpful, and the administrative staff always do their best to assist and resolve any issues. I would highly recommend Pearl Medical Centre to anyone looking for excellent care.”
As I am writing this I am truly upset crying and in pain, I have been with pearl medical centre for years, and theses type of things have been a constant thing but today is too much ch I cannot take it anymore, I suffer from really bad back ache especially my lower back, people around me including a paramedic has noticed that it is scoliosis as advised by them after understanding that’s where the pain is coming from I have gone and booked an appointment regarding this at pearl medical centre, I last seen them about it two months ago complaining that it’s becoming more than unbearable, at the time who I was seen by told me he would refer me for a xray I am more than sure he had even said MRI scan regardless he definitely said he’d refer me for an xray, today so two months later I receive a message to tell me self refer to physio for them to “CONSIDER” further investigation, and so I called because this mean that nothing has been done and two months has been wasted when I had already complained about my back problems prior to this last time, I then got told that the person I seen was just a pharmaceutical and not a doctor and so when he asked the doctor for advice, the doctor THAT HAS NOT SEEN ME OR EVEN ASKED TO SEE ME made the decision to turn down a xray referral and to instead message me to tell me to self refer to physio, I am utterly enraged and disgusted, I am in pain every single day of my life, I struggle to get out of bed, I struggle to stand up or walk for too long, I have young kids under 6 years of age who I have to look after and this is the service I get. Baring in mind that at the time of this last appointment I did say if I cannot get referred I’d rather be told now so that I can just go directly to hospital, and was told I will definitely hear back for a date for my xray. Thankyou for nothing, I just hope anyone not registered with pearl medical centre thinks twice otherwise this is the treatment you could receive to
I strongly advise against registering with this GP practice. My experience has been consistently distressing due to a combination of clinical incompetence, administrative failures, and a lack of basic empathy from the staff.
1. Impossible Appointment System
The appointment booking process is entirely dysfunctional. If you call early, you are told it is too soon; if you call exactly on time, the lines are either busy or go unanswered for long periods. By the time you get through, all slots are gone. I once had to resort to begging and crying in pain just to be seen, which is a dehumanizing way to access healthcare.
2. Dismissive and Rude Clinical Staff
When I finally managed to see a doctor for chronic sinus issues, I was met with total arrogance. Despite explaining my symptoms—including a blocked nose and fever—the doctor rudely dismissed my concerns as "assumptions." Feeling ignored by a medical professional when you are physically suffering is unacceptable.
3. Administrative Incompetence and Lost Samples
The management of patient records and diagnostics is chaotic:
• Lost Samples: On two separate occasions, my blood samples (for TB and Thalassemia) appear to have been lost, as I was told they couldn't find the results or that I needed to retake the tests.
• Records: It took 3–5 months just to merge my medical records, despite multiple follow-ups.
• General Service: I waited an hour just for a simple request to print my medical reports, and they still couldn't complete the task.
4. Unprofessional Reception
The reception staff, particularly one specific individual, is consistently rude and arrogant. Instead of being helpful, their tone is patronizing and makes patients feel worse about themselves.
This surgery is failing in its duty of care. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as the current level of service is negligent and hurtful to the community.
Edit: I am no longer register with this gp now .
these all were my previous experience when i was registered here since 2025 to 2026 February.
