Today I attended an appointment consultation for Laser/Surgical correction. I was expertly inspected by Chris who has a wonderful bedside...well 'desk side' manner and very knowledgeable putting me at ease with the pre testing process. His professionalism shined through. The whole process was very smooth and I came away fully understanding my options to make the right decision for me. No pressure sales. Thank you Chris for making this Bog-Eyed old bird happy.
After struggling with new varifocal glasses from one of their rivals they spent an hour going above and beyond re testing my eyes only to be very professional and do themselves out of money by confirming the original prescription and putting me on the course to recovery with a correct diagnosis of dry eyes and recommending eye drops. Amazed by the professionalism and honesty and reassured by their clear down to earth explanations and suggestions for a way forward. Outstanding customer service can’t recommend them enough.
I have had first class treatment throughout my lens replacement journey. All the staff at the Meadowhall branch are friendly, helpful & professional. Special thanks to James & Marisa(?) I'm sorry I'm rubbish with names - who helped me today & came up with solutions to take the stress out of my next steps. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much.
Cannot thank this company enough! I phoned up regarding floaters in my left eye, I was given a same day appointment, when I arrived, I was greeted by their receptionist who was lovely! I received at least 5 tests, scans etc! When I asked what I owed them, they said, there was no charge! Thank you so much!
After visiting Optical Express at Meadowhall with my son and daughter, I would like to send my huge thanks and appreciation to James.
Both of my children have strong prescriptions for their glasses which can make things more difficult when choosing new frames and the correct lenses. James went through absolutely everything with us, explaining what would be most appropriate for them to ensure the best, most comfortable fit at a fantastic cost. Alongside this, my daughter has glaucoma.
James very kindly reassured us about the treatment my daughter would receive and the outcome afterwards. This immediately made us feel much more positive.
The help we received from James was nothing short of outstanding, which made our experience so much better.

The staff at optical express in Meadowhall is absolutely outstanding and it’s a real pleasure to visit the store knowing how helpful they will be. They are incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We’ve been to the store several times and Emma Clark is always brilliant and so helpful. Nadeem and Sumayyah are incredible and so friendly and great at dealing with kids. Actually everyone is so great. Couldn’t recommend them enough! What a fantastic team.
I went into the Meadowhall Branch on Wednesday the 15th April 2026 and had my eyes tested by Jamaal, and then had my consultation with Leonie. Both Jamaal and Leonie were wonderful, they went the extra mile and I cannot rate them highly enough, I definitely believe they will both go a long way in their careers.
Called in Optical Express at Meadowhall where Helena was very helpful replacing a couple of nose pads on my glasses. She was very friendly and extremely helpful.
