I would like to commend all the staff at Collegiate Medical Centre.
To this day, I have never had a bad experience with the practice. Recently, my health has deteriorated, and following a speedy referral to the hospital, my data was unfortunately lost by the hospital. During what has been a very stressful and upsetting time, Collegiate Medical Centre checked in with me and made me feel supported.
Taz, the receptionist, was incredibly helpful. She found me a cancellation and got me booked in quickly. More than that, she took the initiative to book me in for a mental health check-up without me even asking. She simply heard the distress in my voice, even though I was trying to hide it, and responded with care, kindness and professionalism.
When I attended the appointment, I saw Gemma Mooney, and what an absolute gem of a practitioner she is. Truly a diamond amongst the staff. She did not make me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She sat with me, listened properly, heard every concern I had, and addressed everything with compassion and understanding.
Gemma is clearly in the perfect job, and the same can be said for the wider team at the practice. I cannot thank them enough for the care, support and humanity they have shown me.
On my way to the appointment got stuck in abit of traffic, rang the surgery and told them ill be couple on minutes late(never been late before), the receptionist said if you get here within 5 minutes your good anyway i got there within 3 to 4 minutes only to be told my appointment has been cancelled... appalling, should have told me when i rang.
Theres alot of times you go there on time and they still see you 20 minutes after your appointed time, the new receptionist no good
God forbid you are 10 mins late because of circumstances out of your control. They will not see you, even though they make you wait over 10 minutes anyway when you're on time. They don't care about their vulnerable patients, just waste your time and money. Absolutely awful and inconsiderate behaviour towards vulnerable patients who are already struggling.
Had an appointment with Dr Moin Naeem regarding my Eczema and I found him to be really helpful and caring. He also helped me come up with a proper treatment plan to deal with it (usually in the past doctors just prescribe me some steroid cream and that's it) but Dr Naeem explained to me thoroughly on what I should do/not do and what to use. Overall I really had a positive experience and felt heard.
Myself and my family have been with this surgery for over 60 years, from the start when the original doctors started. The doctors at this surgery are very good, however, getting to see one is near enough impossible. Every time you call, you wait in a que on the phone only to be told all appointments have gone and we should go online at precisely 1pm. This is not always possible as some of actually have jobs and work. The system needs to change, it really is not working and is not in the best intrest of the patients. I do not blame the reception staff, they are only following instructions and trying to do their job but someone needs to do something urgently. Other surgeries are going back to the old system of people being able to speak and call for an appointment at various times.
I had a very positive experience at the clinic today. My GP provided outstanding care, and I felt both heard and understood regarding the symptoms I’ve been experiencing.
Very good experience with Dr Arif recently discussing ongoing health problems really listened to my worries and concerns she arranged tests and booked follow up appointment which was so helpful as continuity really helps with a long term condition thank you ! also recently had to request immunisation history online which reception promptly sent over to me. Thank you 😊
