My husband has a very complex condition and his needs weren't being met by another Manchester hospital. I reached out to a cardiac specialist at Manchester Royal and she agreed to see him. This triggered many appointments with various specialists within MRI. We finally feel listened to. We are almost overwhelmed with the standard of care. It's incredible. Every single department has stepped up promptly and treated him with kindness.

Absolutely shocked with the staff's Attitude Towards visitors . Also I understand 2 visitor's but when I turn up with 2 children with special need's to be told we can't all sit by the bedside . The staff's Attitude in this situation when our family member was rushed there in an emergency isn't Acceptable . More respect and kind word's are lacking in there . Took also 4 hours to come back with the right oxygen mask after being told oxygen levels was low and no mask was on patient id Absolutely ridiculous . It's not a hospital I would want to go to ever again and I would Avoid at all costs.

A really great experience at the MRI today. I was greeted by Gary who was brilliant, really welcoming and helpful. All the staff were lovely. My consultant was patient and informative. My appointment was at 9am and I was finished by 9.50am. Really efficient without compromising patient care. Thank you

I must have been to this hospital tons of times over the years under various specialists for tests, procedures, outpatient clinics etc. I have also been under physiotherapy as well, and putting NHS wait times aside, every department I have been, the care was very good. All the doctors and nurses I have seen over the years have been great. The downside is of course parking. I don’t want to pay expensive hospital parking so I park on a side street and walk. The hospital is massive so it’s easy to get lost. But overall I found the standard of care across the various department to be great. PS I have never been to the A&E so I cannot comment on that bit.

I literally owe my life to the amazing staff at this hospital! I came in, in October 2024 after being transferred from my local hospital as I had been diagnosed with Leukemia, I was immediately taken to ward 44 and my treatment was started within minutes of arrival, all of the staff on ward 44 and the haematology unit on the second floor are a credit to the hospital, the consultants, doctors, nurses, hcas, therapists, cooks, domestics all absolutely fantastic, I could honestly cry I feel I'm that lucky to not only still be here on earth with my partner and beautiful children, but actually in complete remission from this awful cancer, thank god. I still come to have checkups of my blood and bone marrow and cannot fault the care at all, it's times like this where we should all be so grateful for our nhs and it's fabulous staff and amenities, thank you all from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you all enough. ❤️

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and care my father has received here at Manchester royal infirmary while my father was admitted after suffering a heart attack and being in critical condition. One of the most upsetting parts of the experience here was the next day l overheard 2 staff members talking about my father quite harshly stating- " bed .. wants to be discharged(my fathers bed) and another doctor called (Chelsea in a snarky comment stated " does he want to die?" I find this extremely insensitive, disrespectful and completely lacking compassion considering the struggle.saying this infront of anyone is high disgusting but have special needs take this far worse than anyone else without which made me want the leave but also not feel comfortable in the environment also leaving my father in there on his own as they postponed care me seriously believing this is due to my mother saying she was going to put a complaint in due to the staffs attitude. What also concerned me was the lack of communication and the lies told by the members of the team here by them saying my fathers oxygen was low during the night and his heart monitor was dropping on and off and none of the family was contacted or informed we turned up to the hospital and another member of staff stated it was nothing of the sort and he was fine. If they can say this about their patients what else have they said about the patients here? I would highly urge u not to go here.

I attended the MRI on Monday 16/03/26 in extremely excessive pain at 20.30pm, during my time there I was given 2 ibruphen and 2 doses of morphine by mouth. At 02.00am I went looking for a doctor and found Dr Peter Daniel David Clinical Fellow Anaesthetics, I was still in excruciating pain throughout my time at the MRI, which I explained to Dr Peter who escorted myself and my sister back to the space we were designated to wait, once there he asked me in a very professional polite manner my circumstances, once my situation was fully explained to Dr Peter he went ahead and treated me as a respectful patient, explaining extremely understandable what his procedure would be. I was pain free for the first time at 03.00am thanks to Dr Peter, this was the only person who engaged as a professional which is what you expect but this night I felt extremely lucky to have had Dr Peter on duty, thank you so much Dr Peter for taking care of my needs.

Been here for 8 hours passed to different departments playing the waiting game, no beds are free on a ward of 27 at 11.30am. Constantly walking around this maze to be told I need to go else where. Some waiting areas/departments are like a sauna and very limited mobile signal. A fair few homeless people some sleeping across chairs taking seating away from other people. Was seen by a very informative doctor and got the answers needed that my GP couldn't answer nor refer me knowing my symptoms were at the 8 week mark and not getting better. Took 2 hours to wait for medication that had to be dispensed and collected at MRI. Iv given 2 stars due to all the wait time, -100% comfort for the amount of time waiting. Some way some how services need to change as it's excruciating to wait 8 hours in pain and discomfort and not be given answers needed
