Across the 51 clinics we list under Dermatology in England, the average rating is 4.6. This one is at 4.6, which is the middle of that field rather than either end of it. That figure rests on 2,288 reviews. The average clinic here has 869, so this is not a rating built on a handful of visits.
The field for that position is the 18 clinics in England documented at least as well as this one (869+ reviews).

I had a really disappointing experience with Dermatica and feel others should be aware before using their service.
I was prescribed a formula containing Azelaic Acid 15% and Adapalene 0.1%, which caused significant redness, peeling, and irritation. What’s frustrating is not just the reaction itself, but how it was handled. After reporting the issue, I was initially told I could resume using the product at a lower dose after a short break. Later, during the complaint process, they claimed the reaction was due to “overuse” and that my skin barrier had been compromised.
This is completely inconsistent. If the product had already caused that level of damage, why was I advised to restart it at all? That guidance clearly made things worse.
They also tried to shift responsibility by mentioning things like SPF use, which feels like avoiding accountability rather than addressing the core issue—unsafe or unclear instructions and poor follow-up advice.
In the end, my complaint was not upheld, despite clear evidence and a prolonged back-and-forth over months. The response felt dismissive and overly defensive, rather than genuinely concerned about patient safety.
Overall, I’ve lost trust in their clinical advice and would not recommend this service to anyone considering personalised skincare treatment.
I haven't yet used the products but I wanted to leave a review for the customer service. My package came damaged and missing 2 items due to royal mail. I used the chat service on the website and almost instantly received a reply asking for pictures. I send these and promptly received a response apologising and letting me know they will be sending a replacement for the missing items. They sent these the next day and they were delivered the day after. Thank you Hannah and the customer service team for your amazing work!
It seems i am not the only one sharing this experience and i would like to emphasize my dissatisfaction with Dermatica.
After placing an order for skincare, Dermatica refused to process or send my order unless I provided proof of ID and a photo of my bank card.
Months later into an unmonitored inbox i got an email saying my order was dispatched but never ever actually received the product or got a valid tracking or proof of delivery.
Dermatica basically took my money and did not provide any service! Not to mention they tried to extract a lot of my data
When I reached out to customer service they gave me no resolution (the order amount is barely even worth them getting a one star review right now OR my time in writing this). I am just frustrated that companies like this can even get away with this
Do not trust this company, their products, or how they use your data!!!
I would not recommend Dermatica to anyone who values privacy and clear, respectful customer service
⭐ 1-Star Review – Very Poor Customer Service, Feels Excessive and Unreasonable
I had a very disappointing experience with Dermatica.
After placing an order for skincare, they refused to process or send my order unless I provided proof of ID and a photo of my bank card.
For a simple skincare purchase, this request feels completely excessive and inappropriate. I have never been asked to share such sensitive personal and financial information just to receive skincare products. It made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe.
Because I did not want to send copies of my ID and bank card, my order was never dispatched, and I was left without the product I paid for. Customer service was unhelpful and made it seem like this was my fault, rather than acknowledging how unreasonable this request is.
This experience seriously damaged my trust in the company. What should have been a straightforward online skincare order turned into a stressful situation that felt more like a scam than a professional service.
I would not recommend Dermatica to anyone who values privacy and clear, respectful customer service.
I’m giving this product a three star because I used the product for three months and it actually worked you got rid of my pigmentation around my mouth upper lip and then once I stopped using it - it was all back and darker than before so I have now gone back to dermaticia to use the item again but after using this for three months, I did not need make up. It was the best feeling ever but it really does work. The only downfall is you cannot stop if you stop your pigmentation comes back.
Dangerous for Sensitive Skin Avoid!
I used Dermatica’s recommended products for just one week and my skin was left burning, irritated, and covered in crumbly, greasy residue. I followed all instructions exactly and am a long-term Medik8 retinal user I’ve never had issues before.
Their automated customer service reply was completely unhelpful, giving no clear instructions for a refund or return. It feels like the system is built to ignore or delay real complaints.
Do not risk your skin this product is unsuitable and their support is poor.
I bought Dermatica as I wanted to get rid of age spots on my face. I went through the consultation and bought the prescription which was made for me. I also bought other products which cost £47 in total. This was the worst thing I ever did! I used it exactly as recommended according to the instructions and persevered for 3 days. I am now left with a badly burnt and very dry face and neck and had given me hives. It feels as if my skin in on fire and is extremely red. I keep bathing my face in tepid water to sooth it, the only thing that is helping me is Vaseline to help put moisture back into my skin. I am paying dearly for trying something different and I’m out of pocket. I will stick to my old face creams in future and sod the age spots!
