I attended ENT today, what lovely friendly team they have. I was greeted at the reception, sat in their waiting area, very warm and relaxing. I was then met by a lovely lady (HCA) Hayley who introduced me to Dr Thomas. He was very thorough and shared his diagnosis with me and gave me some helpful advise to help me until I get my referral to the hospital through. I would highly recommend Beacon medical Service and rate it 10/10

Title: Exceptional clinical care, but let down by frustrating administrative and discharge processes I am writing to share my experience regarding my recent colonoscopy and gastroscopy. On the positive side, the nursing team who assisted with my consent and the procedure itself were outstanding. They were supportive, compassionate, and professional throughout. They made a painful and invasive experience much more tolerable, and I felt well-cared for by them, especially by the agency nurse. However, the administrative experience leading up to my appointment was the source of significant, avoidable stress. I initially spoke to a receptionist named Joe, who was unnecessarily interrogative and condescending regarding my address and communication preferences. He insisted that my prep instructions could not be sent via email, despite my attempts to explain my situation. I had to escalate this to a manager, who confirmed that email correspondence was, in fact, possible once permission was given (contradictory). Even then, the promised email never arrived. I only secured my prep instructions by chance when I went in person to collect my prescription. I want to be balanced and acknowledge that Joe did call me as part of a routine check-in to confirm my attendance. Additionally, when I could not get through to anyone by phone to confirm my prep timings the day before, I had to send an urgent email; Joe did then call me back to confirm the details and provided reassurance when I expressed my anxiety, which I appreciated. However, the initial gatekeeping and the need for me to constantly chase basic information caused a great deal of stress while I was already feeling vulnerable. Finally, the discharge process was deeply concerning. I was rushed out within minutes of finishing the procedure. I was in significant pain and bloated from the air used during the colonoscopy, yet the nurse responsible for my discharge was dismissive and condescending. She focused solely on asking if I had passed gas, ignoring my visible distress and the fact that I was still struggling with pain. When I expressed my anxiety, she asked me, 'Why are you so anxious?', which was incredibly uncomfortable and dismissive rather than supportive. I was handed my report and a leaflet without any proper verbal debrief or explanation of what to expect during recovery, which felt both unsafe and uncaring. When I had questions about the results, I felt as though my need for clarity was an inconvenience. In summary, the nursing team is a credit to the department, but the administrative culture and the discharge process need urgent improvement. Patients should not have to navigate confrontational gatekeeping or feel unsupported immediately following a medical procedure.

I attended yesterday for my endoscopy. I can tell you I won’t ever be returning here. I’ve had 3 colonoscopy’s at Wythenshawe hospital which were brilliant, nothing like here. I had to stop the procedure as I couldn’t take anymore pain, gas and air did nothing for all the air that was inside me. I now know how a puffer fish feels (unfortunately). No aftercare, toilet, get changed, paperwork and out the door. Luckily I live 5 minutes away, I arrived home and fell onto my settee in excruciating pain which lasted a good hour and still have mild pain now some 22hrs later. I went here for treatment with Hemorrhoids, I think they went over the top looking for bowel disease instead of the hemorrhoids as I had already had previous colonoscopy’s. Also the blinds in the recovery room are broken so as you’re getting changed you have people on the bus going past looking in. All in all a horrendous experience.

I went there today for an MRI scan amazing service from start to finish everything was handled professionally. Upon arrival, I was welcomed and made felt comfortable. During my scan and after the scan, everything was explained to me properly cannot fault the whole procedure.

Excellent treatment. My appointment was at 11.10 am on Sunday. My MRI scan & written report were emailed to me extremely quickly, by Monday afternoon so I was able to share them with the osteoarthritis consultant at my 9 am appointment on Tuesday.

After reading the reviews about people's endoscopy experiences, I'm glad I was 15 minutes late to my appointment and they canceled it because "they had already washed everything in the past 10 minutes", which god forbid if they do it again for someone, and they're totally not lazy and don't just wanna go home early. Seems like I dodged a bullet with this one and at least won't harm my ol belly even more.

Was referred and told to contact by 26th June, which I am doing. Have been trying for weeks to contact the number they provided - tried on different days, different times. Nothing. Even tried going through every single phone option, still nothing. Can’t even visit after work because I finish late and not taking precious annual leave for someone else’s failure. Now in process of trying to get referred elsewhere

I’ve just had an ultrasound performed at Woodley and Sarath and Ruaa couldn’t have taken better care of me during the whole procedure. Both warm, friendly, caring and professional, reassuring me all the way through and letting me know what the found, rather than having to wait for days feeling anxious for my GP to contact me. Excellent service and care
