My son's under alder hey due to having +11 prescription for his eyes. He has ADHD and is under assessment for autism. He brakes his glasses accidentally constantly, his first check up wasn't even booked in!!!!! So we had to wait another 2 months and then again now on his 3rd and canceled his appointment after finally getting one. Now I can't get through to get a follow up which they never rang us back to book! Disgusting at this point is medical neglect. I hope your ashamed. Specsavers won't fix his glasses until he's discharged, ridiculous

Credit to the NHS this place. Every staff member engaged with our little boy fantastically. The process of minor surgery was smooth and we were updated while we waited as things became delayed. Thank you alder hey. Every one of you was professional and happy to be helping.

We visited the hospital with our special needs child and ended up waiting for more than six hours without being able to see the doctor. The hospital has only one sensory room, and it always seems to be fully occupied. It was very difficult to understand how special needs children could be expected to wait for such a long time in that environment. By the end of the day, both the child and the parents were completely exhausted and had no choice but to return home without proper consultation. Waiting for long hours in a hospital setting is especially challenging for children with sensory and developmental needs, and it adds even more stress for parents who are already managing difficult situations. I kindly request the hospital management to reconsider and improve the waiting arrangements for special needs children. Providing better support, additional sensory spaces, or prioritizing these children wherever possible would greatly help families and make the hospital experience more manageable and compassionate.

Fantastic hospital, They all do a fantastic job and are so good with the children. My daughter had to have 7 baby teeth taken out and the way they dealt with the whole putting her to sleep procedure and the procedure its self to the after care was flawless. Very clean hospital and you no your in safe hands with the amazing staff. I think peaple on here are far to quick to judge these members off staff who are doing a fantastic job and are under constant strain.

We recently attended Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and had a very positive experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were kind, professional and very supportive. They explained everything clearly, took the time to listen to my concerns as a parent, and made sure my child felt safe and comfortable throughout the visit. The environment was welcoming and child-friendly, which helped reduce my child’s anxiety. The nurses and clinicians showed great patience, care and understanding, and treated my child with respect and warmth. As a parent, I felt reassured and well informed at every stage. I am very grateful for the high standard of care and compassion shown by the whole team. Thank you for your dedication and excellent service.

Worst experience I had. I took my 2 yr son to emergency at morning 2.30. I waited for 3 hours in waiting room and 2 hrs inside. No doctor came until morning 7. All they do send some duty nurse to check temperature. I mean atleast they need to know the meaning of word emergency. I don't why they have this team. I saw that all the doctors were talking and when I asked them to check their audacity and response was we can't say when will you be checked. For adults it's fine ,but for a kid... what's the point of having this children's centre.
