AVOID. Waste of money. I got the transplant mainly for my crown and no where near enough hairs have been transplanted, the surgeon draws a line on your head then you don’t see her again it’s the workers there that perform the transplant, hence the really poor density. very disappointed. The last photo is 15 months later. I’ve reached out about correcting it but they don’t reply to emails. Now I have to save up for another one and go through the whole process again.

From start to finish my time in Istanbul was great . Pick up from and to the airport was Easy I never had to do anything except turn up . The hotel was fine and very close to the clinic . Ulash (host) was great gave me all the instructions and kept me right when I had plenty questions to ask The medical team were very professional and very friendly . They listened to what I wanted and gave me advice . The procedure went smooth - 8 hrs nearly so it’s a long day . The worst part is the injections of anaesthetic and over time it does wear off so I just let them Know and they topped me up. The trip was great and can’t wait to See results in the future. I highly recommend Welfare abroad . Patient care could be a bit better . Waiting days for replies when you have issues or concerns is a bit of a headache. Having to look online for advice is not ideal when I could be talking to someone from welfare abroad . Hair transplant was great would highly recommend. Patient care after could be better

It’s not often I write reviews but I feel like this experience is worth giving people an insight to what welfare abroad are about and for anyone wishing to get a hair transplant. The service & communication from the start to sending your photos to the end of the transplant & after care is simply faultless. Everyone really cares about their job and how you want your hair to be and the professional job they carry out making sure you’re okay at all times. Not only was it that they were very easy to talk too about random every day to day things which I think is key in having such a long procedure which made it 100 times easier. Any one who is hesitant on contacting them should just go for it. You won’t regret it at all.

Got my hair transplant in sept 2024, I mirror all the previous reviews. From start to finish the communication is spot on, no one tries to force the sale. All my questions had been asked and answered before i left the UK. Arrived in Turkey for my lift to be waiting for me. My op was the next morning and my lift was in reception as I got there. Ulaş is a great lad and the instructions are crystal clear. I stayed in the IBIS which is a 3 min walk from the clinic. Staff in the clinic can’t speak much english but are very nice. Ulaş translates any information. Op took about 6/7 hours. Dinner provided. The day after you go back the clinic and they washed my hair and re-bandaged. You get all medication needed, a pillow to sleep on and a hat to wear. I only wore that hat on the plane to stop any infections. Filthy planes!! Got more emails with instructions on when to wash hair etc. Again, very helpful. Total cost was less than 2 grand. They have got a winning process from start to end. Big shout out to Ulas, Even though the clinic is 3 mins away the role he plays glues it all together and offers so much reassurance. I travelled alone as well. Anyone who is considering this procedure but is worried about going to Turkey for it need not worry. The clinic is modern and spotlessly clean.

I would recommend the welfare abroad team to anyone thinking of having a hair transplant as it is daunting having a procedure in a different country. The care is absolutely first class and the cost is extremely reasonable considering it includes the procedure, hotel and transfers. The only thing you need to arrange is flights. Flights I sourced separately Hotel was sourced through Welfare Abroad Transport to and from accommodation - Within ten minutes of arrival at Istanbul; transport arrived - 30 minutes drive to hotel in a spotless vehicle ' (A private minibus if you like) Accommodation Simple and relaxing atmosphere' one which is extremely accommodating and fairly fluent English speaking. A fair amount of people had cosmetic procedures done so you did not feel out of place Breakfast was included in my package and was plenty Procedure Consultation prior to the procedure was honest - Good assesment and provided me with enough understanding too make a decision and understand potential end result 8 Hour procedure - Lunch provided mid way through- To me the Lunch was sufficient Procedure - First 5 or ten minutes had some slight pain - following this a very smooth procedure with discomfort rather than pain Welfare abroad team (Surgeons/Technicians/Translator) Surgeon (main doctor) Gamze savas very supportive prior and conducted a fair amount of the initial work - Technicians as mentioned do the majority- very experienced and even supportive when I felt some uncomfortable following the adrenaline injection ' carried out observations as you would get in the united kingdom to ensure my safety Translator (Ulash)- Supportive enough' did however feel slightly left once the procedure was complete' advised to direct questions not to him and the aftercare team Aftercare team Aftercare team have been brilliant with my questions following the surgery up to date - informative patient and very supportive with my post care questions surrounding the transplanted areas(location of graft distribution )and also support with information on how to get the best results. The treatment was great, the initial needles hurt but you get through that quickly. The procedure flew by and I could not feel any pain. They really look after you. I love my hair more than ever, I can't wait to go back and get it finished off. I researched hair transplants for 10 years and decided to go with Welfare Abroad; the experience was fantastic. I felt welcome the moment I arrived in Istanbul all the way until leaving. You get a taxi ride there and back in the price as well as two nights in a really nice hotel that also serves breakfast. The hospital was extremely clean and professional, Dr Gamze and her assistants were fantastic. I am going back in January for my second one as I have lost my remaining hair from the top. The results are amazing and will obviously depend on how bald you are/will end up going in the future. I could not be happier!

I was so unsure about having any procedure abroad but after a recommendation from a family member and having made contact with Welfare Abroad, I was instantly made to feel I had made the right choice. Firstly I had Richard reach out and answer all my questions. He made all of the arrangements for me, all I needed to do was get there so I booked my flight and Richard and the team arranged everything else. Top service and always on hand to help out and answer questions if needed, but they were so good I didn’t really have any. Ulash was my assigned concierge and he’s was amazing. He met me at the hotel on the day of my procedure and stayed with me for the first hour. I had around 4 people assigned to me and I couldn’t have felt more looked after. The surgery went so well and the whole team were amazing! I actually felt I had better service than what I would have gotten in the UK! Following the surgery I went back to the hotel after a full briefing on what to expect. Ulash met me at the clinic the next day for my post op follow up and the team were there to welcome me back. They are so friendly, and genuinely want to look after you. Before you know it, it was time to go home, they provided all of my post care treatment and a lot of aftercare support and documentation which is very easy to follow. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Welfare Abroad and I’m never one to leave reviews but I’m so happy and wanted to make sure that if you’re looking to have this done you pick the right people and Welfare Abroad are definitely the ones to go with. If you’ve been sat on the fence as I have for years, thinking should I, you either shave your hair off or get your confidence back and book in with Welfare Abroad, you cannot go wrong!
