I came to Value Dent Clinic for zirconium crowns after years of feeling self conscious about my teeth. Dr. Mira was so patient, designing a smile that looked elegant but completely natural. She listened to what I wanted instead of just giving me a “standard” look. The process was painless, and her team made me feel like I was visiting friends. My Journey to a New Smile at Valuedent in Istanbul – Truly Exceptional!
After many years of dental phobia and neglected oral care, I faced a critical situation: old crowns, chipped and missing teeth, and almost no bite left. A crown finally fell off, and I knew radical action was needed.
I contacted several clinics, but after a strong recommendation from a friend, I decided to fly to Istanbul and visit Valuedent. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made.
From the start, I had a fantastic dialogue with Mo, who helped discuss options and prices. Trust in your dentist is crucial, and I finally found it with the senior doctor, Dr. Mira. She is an incredibly competent dentist whom I wish I had known all the years I avoided the dental chair.
Dr. Mira thoroughly reviewed the necessary procedures and options. I considered veneers for my front teeth, but she honestly advised against it: "You don't need veneers, but if you want them, we can do it." I chose to listen to her recommendation and avoid filing down my functional teeth. A decision I am incredibly happy about today.
The Treatment Plan: We planned three implants, one extraction, and seven new zirconia crowns to close existing gaps in my lower jaw.
The next day, the treatment began. My biggest concern was pain, but it was completely pain-free! We discovered that a root canal was also necessary, but that didn't change the positive experience.
The implant surgery, which I had feared the most, was over in under 30 minutes (three implants and one extraction). The surgeon was fantastic, and Dr. Mira and the assistants were extremely comforting during the procedure. Afterwards, I used ice packs and took the recommended medication (antibiotics, painkillers, and mouthwash). There was no pain, only slight pressure.
A few days later, the new crowns were tried on. We discussed colors and shapes. I wanted a natural look – not Hollywood white – and we adjusted the color until it matched my own teeth perfectly.
Six months later (last week), I flew back to Istanbul to have the final three crowns fitted onto the implants. Again, I was met with open arms by Dr. Mira and the team. The procedure to check the implant healing and fit the final abutments (two under the gum and one above) was just as painless as the first time. No stitches needed!
After another couple of days of color adjustments (Dr. Ipek also assisted), I finally had my new teeth cemented in place.
The result is simply beyond my expectations. I have my bite back, and my smile looks natural. All my fear of dentists is gone. I won't hesitate to recommend Valuedent to anyone, and I would fly back myself anytime.
I was constantly informed about procedures, plans, and costs, and Mo did an excellent job with the translation.
Important point regarding payment: Be aware of your bank/credit card limits if you pay by card. If you pay cash, bring Euros, as everything is quoted in Euros. Also note that there is a card fee (like most places in Turkey), which is clearly displayed on the quotation.
Finally: A huge thank you to everyone at Valuedent who was involved. You are all fantastic!
