I was greeted at the door by Yousra, who stayed with me the entire day while I completed my tests and consultation with Dr. Yildiran, the surgeon I specifically requested — and Munzer had managed to arrange this for me. I was taken to the theatre on the same day on Friday just before 8 PM, and at 3 AM, my lovely nurse helped me walk after I was fed. Dr. Yildiran kept me in the hospital for two nights, which I’m very grateful for, as I wouldn’t have managed on my own in a hotel. On Sunday, I was discharged and sent in another luxury car to my hotel with all my medication. Yousra also organised two lymphatic drainage massages at my hotel at my own cost, which I really appreciated. The first couple of days were a bit challenging with the drains, but by Tuesday, I was well enough to explore the old town and even walked 11,000 steps with no difficulty! My follow-up is scheduled for Wednesday, and everything is organised so I can be taken to the hospital and then straight to the airport to fly back to London. I cannot praise the professionalism of everyone involved enough. The nurses were incredibly kind, always smiling, and attentive. I was kept very comfortable on painkillers, and the food was excellent — the hospital felt as clean and well-run as a 5-star hotel.
