About two months ago, I had a hair transplant with Dr. Sahinoglu and his team, and my experience was very positive. Before the procedure, Dr. Sahinoglu took a lot of time to carefully explain the entire process to me, including how the procedure would be performed and how he would to design the hairline. He speaks excellent English and has a very friendly and calming manner, which made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the whole experience. Implanting around 3,000 grafts is naturally a long procedure, and of course there are more pleasant ways to spend a day, but honestly I cannot think of how Dr. Sahinoglu and his team could have made the experience any better. The team was professional, attentive and very supportive during the entire process. After the procedure, Dr. Sahinoglu took additional time to explain all the important aftercare instructions and gave helpful tips for the healing process. I was even allowed to record this conversation, which I found very useful because after such a long procedure it’s difficult to remember every detail. In the weeks following the surgery, I was also able to send photos so that Dr. Sahinoglu could monitor the healing progress and give feedback, which I really appreciated. Since my transplant was only about two months ago, it is still too early to judge the final result. However, I am already very satisfied with the hairline design and the healing process so far, which makes me confident that the final result will be excellent. Overall, I felt I was in very professional and capable hands, and I would definitely recommend Dr. Sahinoglu and his team.

My hairline began quickly receding at the age of 19 when I was in university. I had my first hair transplant consultation two weeks after graduating in 1998. I had multiple additional consultations in New York and California over the next 30 years. There was not a day that went by where I didn’t feel terrible about my hairline, but I never found a surgeon that could get me comfortable with the procedure. Evaluating surgeons is actually quite difficult, regardless of the country. I was in Istanbul on an extended holiday in 2023; after months of extensive, focused research, I scheduled five consultations with my top surgeon candidates. Four of my five finalists were large, well-known clinics, but one was a smaller clinic on the very short list of Fellows of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery as well as being a Diplomat of ABHRS. I had in person consultations with all five clinics. I immediately disqualified two of the clinics, I considered two to be “maybes” but Dr. Sahinoglu quickly emerged as the obvious choice. I ultimately selected Dr. Kayihan Sahinoglu primarily for four reasons: • First, he is a deeply experienced and incredibly skilled surgeon who does almost the entire procedure personally. He only does one surgery per day. His team, who have worked with him for decades, supports him diligently. All of the other surgeons would have been minimally involved relying heavily on their less sophisticated staff to conduct critical components of the procedure. • Second, Dr. Sahinoglu is truly a wonderful person. He is incredibly warm, kind, gracious, thoughtful and patient. I felt truly comfortable in his presence, at all times. He makes you feel at home. • Third, I developed deep respect for his philosophy & strategy for restoring my hairline. My primary goal was a natural look that would not raise any suspicion of surgery. I knew this was a very high bar given my hairline and density would improve significantly resulting in a much fuller head of hair. • Fourth, I tracked down (independently) a recent patient of Dr. Sahinoglu’s who was from the US and he was gracious enough to speak to me about his experience. He gave Dr. Sahinoglu a glowing review highlighting all of my top priorities. On top of it all, he said it was the best decision he ever made - he raved about the results and how he will certainly go back to Dr. Sahinoglu if he ever decides to do a follow-up procedure. After this chat, I was 100% confident I made the right decision. After 30 years of being embarrassed about my hairline, Dr. Sahinoglu gave me the confidence to do something about it. My procedure was done in April of 2024 and by October 2024 I genuinely felt like a new man. I am truly amazed at my hair on a daily basis, I am blown away at how natural it looks and feels. Dr. Sahinoglu honestly impacted my life in a such a monumental way. My only regret is that I didn’t find Dr. Sahinoglu 10-20 years earlier. -- I wrote this summary on my own, out of gratitude, to help others who might be going through a similar experience. I 100% recommend Dr. Sahinoglu for anyone who values both the hard & soft skills of a transplant surgeon and values the one-on-one care of a highly personalized clinic.

Excellent doctor and clinic. Dr. Sahinoglu is a master of his craft and takes the time to achieve the best results for his patients. I had my hair transplant done by him 8 days ago and could not be happier with my choice. I had compared numerous clinics and found that his results, just as his reputation, are among the best in the world. He and his assistants were lovely and very caring. My review here is not part of any promotion and I was not compensated for it. I had two transplants with Dr. Sahinoglu; the first was in Feb 2023, ~3500 grafts (Front and Top) and the second transplant was in Feb 2024, ~2800 grafts (Front, Top and Crown). I have reserved writing a review until I could fully assess the results. It is now March 2025 and after a lot of patience, I am very happy with the density. The first time you have a hair transplant the anxiety can feel overwhelming, especially when travelling to a foreign country, but I was reassured by Dr. Sahinoglu and his team from the moment of arrival. He is quick to respond to questions on Whatsapp and depending on your country, you may be able to pay in advance by bank transfer to avoid travelling with so much physical cash. The whole process, including rest can be done in as little as a few days and you can then be on your way home or combine it with a vacation. Just remember to stay out of the sun and you won’t be allowed to drink alcohol for several days before and after the procedure. Overall, if you are looking for excellent hair results from a trusted, reputable physician at a fair price, consider Dr. Sahinoglu's clinic.

I had the absolute pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Sahinoglu at his clinic in Istanbul in late November 2024 for a hair transplant procedure using the FUE method transplanting approximately 2400 grafts. I travelled from the US and spent 3 nights in Istanbul. Details are below but in short, I could not be happier with the overall experience and would highly recommend. When I made the decision to undergo hair transplant surgery I spent weeks researching doctors and clinics. I choose Istanbul because I was fairly familiar with the city having visited a few times in the past and because of the combination of overall costs and vast experience the clinics and doctors have with the procedure. After several online consultations with different doctors and clinics I settled on Dr. Sahinoglu. The most important factors in my decision were (1) the entire time I was communicating with Dr. Sahinoglu himself. There were no "agents" or intermediaries; (2) he managed my expectations and did not overpromise; (3) he is certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery; (4) he is fully involved in the entire procedure and (5) his clinic only treats 1 patient per day. The arrival logistics were seamless. I was met by a driver at the airport at the designating meeting spot. The hotel was five stars and located a few hundred meters from the clinic. It was literally at the other end of the block from the clinic and a 5 minute walk. The hotel was clean, rooms were very nice and room service and staff were excellent. I arrived to the clinic early the morning of the procedurewhere I was greeted by staff and Dr. Sahinoglu. After being served a light breakfast and tea, I signed a few forms and proceeded to the office where Dr. Sahinoglu designed the hairline. We then proceeded to the operating room where my head was shaved by Dr. Sahinoglu himself. The next step was the local anesthesia. Not going to lie, it was painful, but it was manageable and Dr. Sahinoglu was very gentle and took many breaks to ensure my comfort. This is just part of the process and something you have to deal with if you will undergo this procedure but I am confident it would have been much more painful had the injections been given by someone other than a skilled surgeon such as Dr. Sahinoglu. Once the donor area was sufficiently numb, he began the extraction. I experienced no pain whatsoever during this part of the process. Halfway through, we took a small break where I was served more tea and snacks. I went back in after this break to complete the extraction process (again, no pain whatsoever). Next step was opening the channels. First, local anesthesia was applied to the recipient area. Given this area is less sensitive and the fact that the anesthesia applied to the donor area had fully taken effect, the pain was MUCH more manageable. After the recipient area was fully numb, there was no further pain whatsoever. After the channels were opened we took a break and I had lunch with Dr. Sahinoglu. I enjoyed the food and conversation. We then went back to the operating room for the implantation process. I feel asleep halfway through. After we were finished, Dr. Sahinolgu gave me post-op care instructions and I walked back to the hotel. Other than very minor soreness, post-op was painless. I kept in touch with Dr. Sahinoglu through WhatsApp. I spent the next day at the hotel relaxing and watching TV and flew home the following day. Driver picked me up from the hotel and dropped me off at the airport. It's been just over a month and although I know it will take some time to see the full results, I could not be happier with how things are progressing. Still in contact with the Doctor and sending him pics and updates weekly. An extremely positive experience from beginning to end. I can't thank Dr. Sahinoglu enough and would recommend him without reservation. He is an extremely skilled surgeon and a pleasure to talk to. I can't imagine having done this procedure with anyone but Dr. Sahinoglu.
