I have been under Dr. Joyner’s care for over four years and cannot recommend him highly enough. He successfully replaced both of my hips and is now treating me as I consider a possible knee replacement. Throughout every step, he has been thorough, professional, and genuinely caring. He takes the time to clearly explain procedures, outline options, and answer questions without ever making you feel rushed. His surgical skill and attention to detail gave me complete confidence, and my results have been outstanding. Thanks to Dr. Joyner, I’ve regained mobility and improved my overall quality of life. His follow-up care is just as strong as his surgical expertise. I also completed physical therapy at OrthoCollier and was in excellent hands with Peter and the team. Dr Joyner has operated on me successfully before, so naturally will come back to him. I trust him completely. He is a great surgeon, great individual and office staff is as well.
Dr Joyner was very thorough and took the time to explain everything. It was as though we were the only patients he had that day. I’m a retired surgical RN. He’s quite excellent!!
Joyner may be a great surgeon You decide this was my experience.
1. His staff end to end is excellent in handling customer complaints. They listen and were very understanding.
2. You can pay $3,500 to ensure that you always see Joyner. The on-line welcome package you are greeted by an avatar of his wife. The Avatar didn't convince me that for $3,500 that I was going to get a more personal touch.
3. Dr. Joyner forgot to tell me or my daughter post-op to wait ideally a week before PT. Standard practice is the day after. It is mandatory when you book surgery to schedule PT.
4. Post-Op notes were received only after I called his office 3:30 PM next day which indicated not to start PT ideally for a week.
5. The day after scope before PT started I asked PT person to see if we could see post-op notes. I was at 9/10 pain level. PT person went to get them and ran into Dr Joyner. who shared that I have a very arthritic knee. Joyner was going from memory. The report indicated mild #2 arthritis. Joyner going from memory and had me confused with another patient, which is understandable when not looking at notes.
4. Six weeks after the operation post-op notes were still not loaded in their system.
5. Operation center is not handicap friendly. No push button to open door and no handicap curb in front of main entrance and front parking lot. No signs indicating where handicap entrance is located.
6. I saw Dr Joyner for 5 minutes before operation and never again and spoke to me after the scope, but have no recall of conversation due to anesthesia. I was to see him 3 month's post op, but decided to change doctors.
7. I think paying the extra $3,500 to see Dr. Joyner may be worth it. Since he was the mystery md that scoped my knee who may have done a great job.
8. I am having partial knee replacement with HSS in NYC with Dr Mayhem. I saw him once for 15 minutes which is already more than I saw Joyner when not sedated.
We have had only great experiences with Dr Joyner. It was great to find someone that cared and took there time to really explain everything and not just rush you out of there office. All his staff has been excellent. Would highly recommend Dr Joyner.
Doctor joyner and his staff are very professional and thorough. After having surgeries on both the left and right shoulders performed by doctor joyner, i feel that I have two brand new shoulders now. And, working with the physical therapy has been a tremendous help to my recovery. I would recommend doctor joyner and his staff to anybody that needs to have orthopaedic surgery done. Regards,Tony
I would give more stars if i could...
I fell & ruptured my quad tendon on a Sunday (the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The ER said to see an Ortho dr. We called 5 Orthopedists & no one could see me for weeks. The last one suggested that we go to the walk-in OrthoCollier center
Long story short, Dr. Patrick Joyner (who was in China at the time) reviewed my MRI remotely & within days of his return worked me in to perform surgery. Before surgery he sat down & spent time explaining what was wrong & how he would correct it.
I never had any pain! Dr Joyner recommended Better Choice Home Care & they were outstanding. For PT Dr Joyner recommended Bonita Springs Sports PT Center & they were great as well
I am almost 81 years old & I have resumed all of my normal activities...all thanks & a debt of gratitude to Dr Joyner
