Ciara McCarthy

Recently attended sessions with Mark. As usual the sessions and exercises were excellent and have made a huge difference in the recovery of a knee injury. Cannot praise the Performance Clinic enough. All the family have attended for various sports related injuries and all excellent results. Highly recommended!

Patrick was so professional and knowledgeable. He really helped me with a pain in my calf which he advised I should get checked medically which I have now done and have been prescribed needed medication. Without this prompt from him I no doubt would have injured myself further. I will require physio going forward and I will be definitely be booking in again with Patrick for this.

I was really struggling with 2 bulging discs in my neck and after ONE session with Eva I'm nearly totally pain free. Targeted stretching and strengthening of the area by a top physio. Highly recommended

The staff at the clinic are kind and helpful, and the clinic seems to be very well set up and equipped. However, my experience unfortunately left me with more injuries than I started off with. I came with a back issue and one of the therapists set up a training programme for me. The first couple of sessions went well and I was pleased with the progress. After those first few sessions I developed a sore knee, and was essentially told to work through it, the only solution was to take it slightly easier. I raised the issue of the knee pain at each session but was basically told to ignore it and that it's nothing to worry about. Thankfully, I listened to my gut and after I was finished with the set of sessions I prepaid, I stopped going. Quite a few months later, I'm still dealing with the same issue, I had to pay for MRI and private ortho surgeon and have a few more months of therapy and recovery ahead of me. I am really disappointed that my worries weren't taken seriously and regret not listening to my gut even sooner. The clinic came very highly recommended, even by another physio I worked with in the past, but I feel like I need to offer my perspective, if nothing else, then to remind others who might find themselves in a similar situation, to listen to what their body is telling them.

Excellent experience. My son attended with a niggling pain in his groin and Mark carried out a very thorough assessment. He was able to clinically identify a stress reaction in the femur even before any MRI imaging was carried out. Mark referred us for an MRI and contacted us out of hours once the report came back from the radiologist which confirmed his original assessment. He then set out a clear rehab plan for my son for the next couple of weeks and has mapped out his pathway back to running. Mark is extremely knowledgeable about running-related injuries, clearly drawing on his own athletics background and years of experience. I would highly recommend Mark and his colleagues at The Performance Clinic.

Lee is an exceptional physiotherapist. He has treated myself and my daughter for various sports related injuries over many years. As a family we have had top class treatment from Mark, Lee and Eva, and Edel is always at the end of the phone for any queries. Highly recommend The Performance Clinic.

I have been to the Preformance Clinic before for a different injury and with the treatment program the knee injury recovered and I now have full use of the knee. Now I am having treatment for my hip, pre operation. I am again very happy with the current hip treatment program. They run a very professional and friendly treatment service. Sean Cantwell

I visited the clinic with stift neck and tight upper traps. The therapist barely done anything wirh my trap to release it. Decided to focus more on my back. Went to tell me I had to disks in my lower back that were compressed. After seeking another opinion from a different clinic I was told there is absolutely nothing clinically or structural wrong with my back. Im a powerlifter so I couldn't understand how I would be able to load up heavy with the said problem for your therapist. I also had to get my partner to rub out my trap to get some relief. Therapists need better training and experience. Would not recommend.
