I had a very positive experience at St. Columcille's Hospital. While the facility is smaller in scale, it is exceptionally well-organized and offers a comprehensive range of departments. One of the main advantages is the short waiting times, though it is important to note that appointments are typically required and there is no Emergency Department (A&E) on-site—only an Injury Unit for minor issues. What truly stands out is the high standard of care. The medical and administrative staff are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. I felt well-supported throughout my visit and was very satisfied with the professionalism of the healthcare team. If you are looking for efficient, person-centered medical care in a smaller setting, I highly recommend this hospital. Pro-tip: Since this is for a local Dublin/Wicklow audience, mentioning the Injury Unit is helpful, as many people still mistake it for a full emergency room!

They are scamming people. I tried to get an xray for my scoliosis but they won’t do a picture of the full spine. They only offer 3 pictures of the spine all separated which makes no sense for a scoliosis patient. The reason is because they make more money off doing multiple scans. They are able to because they can do a chest xray no problem. The lady on the phone said they’re not able to do it which is pure lies. All of your staff are blacklisted from booking me for your kids party until you start behaving decently. I had to go to Turkey to get a basic xray. Absolute disgrace.

I had such poor expectations on my way to have a cut attended to - was I so wrong! Less than one minute after arrival a very helpful receptionist processed me and I was called immediately by the doctor. 30 mins later I was on my way home..! The doctor, anaesthetist and nurse were so efficient and beyond helpful and pleasant. I hear so much bad publicity about hospitals, but these guys appear to be in a different league.

I attended the MAU today. The busy staff were friendly, and treated me and those around me with great care and dignity. From the moment Trinity checked me in, I was very well looked after. Special mention for Emma Jane and the excellent team of doctors and nurses who were looking after everyone excellently. The radiographer put me at great ease as we did the essential ultrasound exam. I even had a cup of tea. While most patients were obviously concerned, the doctors explained everything clearly to everyone. Well done to the MAU team. Hope you all enjoy some downtime over the festive season.

I attended the Medical Assessment Unit yesterday for Xray and assessment . I was under the care of Registrar Dr David and Nurse Alan . Dr David was caring , professional and painstaking. He communicated with each one of us explaining procedures and allaying our anxieties. Having spent a number of hours in the unit I was able to observe his assiduous attention to detail .which I considered commendable and worthy of praise . Nurse Alan was friendly, efficient and gentle. He performed all medical tasks with a smile and returned at regular intervals to ensure that I was comfortable and that I knew what was happening. A friendly lady appeared with a trolley of soup and sandwiches for those who needed it . The MAU deserves 5 stars .

I’ve been here a few times before. I was in last week due to an ankle/foot fracture. I can’t thank them enough. From reception, to the nurses, to the doctors and all the hospital staff. They are always so pleasant and kind. I was in and out in no time with X-rays! Highly recommend, they are a fantastic hospital ⭐️
