I needed urgent treatment on a broken bridge in my front teeth as im heading on holidays tomorrow,I couldn't get an appointment with my usual dentist but smiles very kindly obliged which I was very grateful for. It was my first time there and what a pleasant experience. The staff are so friendly . The dentist who treated me (apologies cant recall his name) was fantastic. He made me feel so relaxed and done a wonderful job. I would highly recommend smiles and want to thank them again for fixing my smile before my holidays 😊
I have never had a better dental experience in my life <3 I had an abcess on the root and Dr Ropac took care of me in the best possible way :) He did my root canal (this was my first ever root canal), I was very scared and anxious because my pain threshold is non existent haha but Dr Ropac was not only a professional Doctor who gained my trust from the firdt visit but a friend during the procedure. I never felt so safe with a dentist and I hope Dr Ropac will be treating me going forward :) Finding the best dentist and your dentist is like finding your own tattoo artist :) Thank you for everything, for the treatment, most spa like relaxed experience and for being a funny person, not just a Doctor :D
I was working in Cork for a couple of weeks, got a tooth infection and needed an extraction. Smiles were able to accommodate me at short notice and Harry was my dentist. I could not recommend Harry enough! I'm a very nervous patient due to previous awful dental experiences. Harry was so kind and patient with me and the tooth extraction was totally painless. Thank you so much Harry for alleviating my fears and taking care of me. If I lived in Cork I would come here all the time for any dental work.
I went to this dentist to get braces back on, was told I needed to deep clean all quadrants and get two fillings before the Orthodontist. Got one quadrant done the went to the filling next which was only causing minor irritation from time fo time.
Not alone did it cost alot for just one filling, it went wrong and I suffered badly 10 out of 10 pain and still am suffering. Only to be told I now needed a root canal which was not on the original invoice of work needed doing. Neither was this said to me that this could be a potential result if the filling doesn't work.
When i went back after suffering from Thursday to Monday with the pain because there was no appointment, the customer care was good and the pain was eased. While the staff were very professional, I am still very disappointed with how it went.
Was in cork so unable to visit my usual dentist. I rang here as it says that it is an emergency dentist. I had an issue with a retainer that just needed a quick glue to tie me over. (Every other dentist can do this)
The person on the phone told me that dentists don’t do this and wouldn’t be able to help. I asked could they at least check as every other dentist that I have been to is able to. They put me on hold for all of 2 seconds to ask. (They clearly didn’t ask!)
Went to another smaller local dentist who sorted it straight away!
As an extremely nervous patient I cannot recommend Dr Douglas Hammond enough. He listened to all my concerns and took things at my pace. He made sure I had enough anesthetic for the extraction I had to have and honestly had my tooth out in about 3 seconds and I didn't feel a thing. Also Erin the lovely nurse held my hand throughout and made sure I was OK. Ye have taken my fear out of dentist visits and I cannot thank ye enough.
The other day, a piece of my tooth chipped off. I rang up and booked an appointment for the very next day – there was a slot available. I was seen by a wonderful, professional dentist who did everything very quickly and to a high standard. I’m very happy with the service and would recommend it to everyone.
I would like to update my previous review. My bad experience with doctor Douglas Hammond the previous dentist was completely resolved by Dr Fionnan. His empathy and professionalism made me change my rating from one star to four. Thank you for the care and understanding.”
