I've had a great experience with Sandyford Medical, Centric Health. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and professional, making every visit as smooth and stress-free as possible. The doctors take the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and genuinely care about their patients. Appointments are well managed, and the overall standard of care is excellent. I highly recommend Sandyford Medical to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate medical practice.
Worst doctor to go to is Patrica, I’ve been with this go since they were in clonard since 2007 and on wards. Regular visits as I am used to going to one doctor who has now left the practice unfortunately. The rest of the doctors are all good apart from here. I’ve had several experiences with her for not listening in to my symptoms and wanting me in and out within 3mins of sitting down. And when I said I’ve something else to query about I was given attitude and as if she just wanted me out of the room. Asked to get something checked she said there’s no need to and proceeded to open the door. Shocking behaviour from a dr who should take patients worries into account. The rest of the practice are more then friendly the receptionist & the nurses and the rest of the doctors especially the ones that are still there from the old branch! Do not recommend going to Dr Patrica!
I have been with this medical practice for seven years, and I can confidently say it is the best I’ve ever experienced. The entire team has consistently provided exceptional care and support, making a real difference in our lives.
Nurse Mary is truly one of a kind. As first-time parents, we were often anxious, but she always took the time to guide us through every step. She handled our daughters’ vaccinations with great care, explained every possible side effect in detail, and provided invaluable advice. Her warmth, friendliness, and approachability made us feel incredibly supported. She truly went above and beyond for our family.
The reception staff are fantastic – always friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Since we live far away, they made it easy for us by arranging phone consultations and assisting with last-minute medication renewals whenever needed. Their flexibility and kindness never went unnoticed.
Dr. Daniel is, without a doubt, the best doctor we have ever had. He is approachable, compassionate, and truly listens without any judgment. His thoroughness in providing treatment, advice, and timely referrals has been invaluable to our family’s health and peace of mind.
We are genuinely sad to be leaving this practice and will miss everyone dearly. Thank you all for your outstanding care and for making us feel like we were always in safe hands.
Am not taken seriously in this clinic, I often leave feeling hopeless, robbed and lost for answers.
I asked about some elevated levels shown in my blood test, highlighted in red. GP said nothing to worry about, even tho it shows in every blood test. Despite me having family history where the elevated levels are an area of concern. I would like to be preventative when it comes to illness, but this clinic won’t help you prevent anything.
I had some other symptoms of concern, GP almost laughed and said oh sorry we can’t do anything unless this has been going on for over 6 months.
I am forced to do tests elsewhere since I know there is something wrong. Here they won’t do anything unless you’re obviously dying. Harsh but it’s true.
Been coming to this doctor since I was a child. Never any problems when they were just Clonard Medical in Clonard Lodge. However since they were taken over by Centric several years ago the quality of care is substandard. They never run on time. I have been waiting for 45 minutes. Other people have come and gone before me. My own doctor never seems to be available or the wait is absolutely outrageous so I have often used the locum. Really disappointing and I have recently signed up to another doctor and will be transferring care.
Best Dr surgery you can be a part of. All Doctors nurses and administrative staff are so committed and hard working. Great care for all age groups. Always feel listened to and confident that medical issues will be taken seriously and nothing will be missed. My family have been patients of Dr Weyham for over 15 years and his care and attention has been exceptional. All of the family have had only positive experiences here. Thank you all very much .
Nothing but positive experiences with Dr Chris Weyham over many years - never dismissive of concerns and escalates specialist appointments when reasonable to do so. His tenacity resulted in me receiving a chronic disease diagnosis, that could've ended up being too late for me had it went on undetected for years. A scan from the beacon came back clear, but he still persisted and sent me to a specialist in Vincent's, where bloods final diagnosed a rare disease, even though I was symptom free. This for me is exactly what you want on a doctor. The receptionists are very busy....not rude....just busy.
Looks like I was not the only one ripped off by this "practice". Went to GP in Dec 2017 and described symptoms. Asked for a blood test. Was told it was not necessary. Went to another GP in this clinic 2 weeks later having same symptoms and was told not to worry and wait for 2-3 months. In January I went to a doctor in a different place who took blood immediately. I now have diagnosis and directions on what to do next.
I rang Centric Health clinic to share my bad experience. I was told the Manager was on a holiday and was invited to see a GP for free to discuss the matter until the Manager was back. Came in, saw my first GP. I asked why I was not sent for a blood test. Her response was "this is not the way we do it here". I was also asked to pay when leaving the clinic. Receptionist was not aware who booked me in and why this visit was meant to be free. She waived the fee after I explained why I came in.
I left frustrated and rang the Manager a week after she came back from her holiday. The Manager said that she did not have a chance to go through this situation and she was very sorry this happened. She also said that her clinic is well-run. No doubts it runs as a great business, not a medical practice!
To sum it up:
1. Two GPs have not established the cause of the problem, but I was charged €100 (€60 + €40 for repeat visit).
2. I was going to be charged another €40 after seeing a GP for the third time even though a free appointment was offered.
3. Receptionists have no track of who makes appointments.
4. Receptionists do not leave notes like "free" on bookings.
5. Practice Manager either does not care about problems in her clinic or else her staff do not tell her about them.
Shocking careless treatment by all members of clinic's team!
