Our miniature schnauzer developed a sudden spinal issue last summer, which soon progressed to total paralysis of the back legs. My vet recommended Dr McCartney at NOAH; he swiftly diagnosed a slipped disc and operated straight away, after giving us a realistic assessment of the likely outcome and some time and space to decide what we wanted to do. After the surgery, Dr McCartney gave us a thorough explanation of how to care for the dog and what to expect, and took him back in for a few days when his condition worsened. Dr McCartney warned us it would be a difficult and emotionally draining road once discharged, but that he felt the dog had a good chance of recovery. After a couple of very difficult weeks when the dog couldn't stand, move his hind legs or even toilet on his own, he suddenly began to wag his tail; within a few days, he was scrabbling around under his own steam. A week later, he was running and walking on all four legs. Nine months on, our dog is living a full and normal life - running on the beach, walking, sitting and standing at will. From total paralysis of the hind legs, to living a normal life with a slight limp, a thing I wouldn't have thought possible when I carried him into NOAH that day expecting to make a difficult decision. Many thanks to Dr McCartney and all the team at NOAH - highly, highly recommended.

We travelled across the country to bring our spaniel to NOAH, and it was worth every kilometre. Incredible surgical team, clean modern facility, and outstanding follow-up care. Truly the best in the business.

My golden retriever had elbow dysplasia, and NOAH performed a total elbow replacement. He’s now pain-free and active again. Brilliant service from start to finish.

Our 2 1/2 year old pointer, Marvin just had surgery almost 2 weeks ago to remove a brain tumour. We were told it was inoperable after an mri from another vet but on seeking a second opinion from Billy McCartney, he said there was a small chance. From the get go, Billy was very quick to look at the scans, call us and was honest and upfront with his opinion. We decided to go with the surgery as Marvin would only have lived a few months without it. We are almost 2 weeks post surgery and Marvin is going doing very well. He is practically back to himself even though he’s a little unsteady but this is improving each day. It’s remarkable what Billy and his team has done for Marvin. They looked after him so well and they kept in touch with us daily whilst he was in hospital. We know that there’s a possibility in time the tumour could grow back but Billy was able to successfully remove all of the visible tumour. What a brilliant surgeon and vet to give our beautiful dog a chance at life. We will never be able to thank Billy and his team at Noah enough for all they’ve done. Marvin is getting better and more steady each day. He’s so upbeat and energetic again. We now get more quality time with our cherished dog thanks to Billy and his team 🙏♥️

do not book appointment on line or pay any money, We paid a small deposit for an appointment that we made on Line and attended the surgery in Derry and there was no-one there. Tried to phone numbers including emergency numbers and no one ever got back to us. Be very careful - you are worried about your pet do not use these guys not sure if they are still operating but will take the money,

Can’t recommend NOAH enough! My cat needed spinal surgery and I was terrified, but they walked me through everything. The surgery was a success and recovery support was incredible. Thank you to everyone on the team!

The head vet Billy is without a doubt the best in the country. He really is the real deal.
