My husband recently underwent knee surgery at Cappagh Hospital and overall, the experience was very positive. The hospital is well-equipped with high-tech wards, especially dedicated to planning and preparing for surgeries. The medical staff were professional and the facilities were modern and clean, contributing to a sense of reassurance and efficiency. One standout feature is the canteen (or restaurant), which offers a good selection of meals and a pleasant space for visitors and patients alike. The only negative aspect was the unclear scheduling. We were asked to arrive at 07:00 in the morning, but surgery didn’t commence until after 14:00. It would be helpful if the hospital provided a clearer explanation or time management update to help patients and families plan better.

Cappagh hospital: a review found that many children may have had hip surgery they did not need. Nearly 500 children are being checked by independent doctors. Concerns have been raised about how the surgeries were approved and explained to parents. Authorities are now reviewing the cases and helping affected families.as for me The hospital lost reports belonging to me Dr ghetti slept out the operation prepped than cancelled the operation. constantly cancelled appointments. Tried to mark wrong side for operation. No leadership hospital is a basket case HSE need to intervene.check online it's a mess.

I had a hip replacement done there on 22nd January this year under Mr. Gavin McHugh. Fantastic surgreon, nothing was a problem. From Pre-Assment ( in November)to actual discharge the care and attention was amazing with such attention to detail including infection control and physio afterwards. From nursing care to catering all 100%. Thank you all and congratulations on such a wonderful facility.

A wonderful hospital. In as few words as I can possibly say, it'sTop Notch. The Doctors, Nurses, all Medical staff were very kind and attentive. Everything is done efficiently, including the visit prior to my operation for swabs. All off to a fine art. The ladies who give out the food couldn't be nicer and all seem to love their job. I felt very assured and confident about my procedure and treatment. The Hospital is spotless and really if I tried I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. The lovely Nurse Anna from Poland on St. Catherine's Ward is super kind and sweet and deserves a mention. I'm very lucky to have had my operation carried out in Cappagh👌
