I have been seeing Dr Tim for over a year now as a private patient, and I have always had a very positive experience with him. He is professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. I feel comfortable and well looked after during appointments, and I am very happy with the medical care I receive from him.
Unfortunately, my recent experience with the administrative side of the clinic was extremely disappointing.
About a week ago, I emailed Isabella to ask whether the clinic was accepting new Medical Card patients, as I had recently applied for a Medical Card and urgently needed this information. I explained that timing was very important in my situation. I received no reply.
A week later, I sent a follow-up email, and again received no response.
I then called the clinic directly, and Isabella informed me over the phone that the clinic was not accepting new Medical Card patients. What upset me most was not the answer itself, but the complete lack of communication despite my emails and the urgency of my situation. When I explained that I had been waiting for a response because this was time-sensitive, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously.
I want to make it clear that this review is not about Dr Tim, who has always been excellent and whom I absolutely intend to continue seeing privately. My frustration is entirely related to the communication and administrative handling of this situation.
Dr. Hinchey was okay but I was concerned about being prescribed 5mg Valium as a first line of treatment for a moderately stiff neck without exploring milder options first. I did explicitly ask about alternative muscle relaxants, and would have appreciated more choice and flexibility in medication especially around those involving drugs like Benzodiazepine that have so many undesirable side effects.
Would highly recommend Dr Hinchey. He took me seriously when many other doctors had dismissed me. Originally only came for a blood test, because my regular GP didn’t have an appointment, and now I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Very poor experience. The referral process is completely disorganised!!! my referral wasn’t sent initially, and when it finally was, it was sent to the wrong consultant who doesn’t even handle foot orthopaedics.
Communication is equally bad. It’s nearly impossible to get through to the doctor, and the assistant was dismissive, kept interrupting me, and rushed me off the call without letting me speak. I was even told to find a doctor myself, which is unacceptable.
Been here many times, really good and efficient GP. He has treated me for a wide range of issues over the years and I have consistently had a very positive experience.
Had an appointment on the particular date and time and just before an hour you ring them just to know that they won’t take any more patients.Such an irresponsible service.Need to work on such things,people make time for such things and wasted the day.
Excellent GP in Dublin City Centre. Dr Hinchey is fantastic how he listens and provide the best feedback and medical support and advice. Blood tests fantastic and speedy unlike waiting for the Mater waiting list! Highly recommend Dr Hinchey and Liffey Medical Clinic.
I recently visited this medical practice clinic run by Dr. Tim, and my experience was excellent. Needing an urgent blood report, I struggled to find an available GP in Ireland due to long waiting lists and unavailability. However, I easily booked an appointment here. Dr. Tim and his team treated me professionally, answered all my questions, provided a prompt diagnosis, and I received my blood report within three to four days, even on a bank holiday. Despite living a little away from the city, I'll definitely return (hopefully don't have to). Highly recommended! 🌟
