Absolute shambles for a medical centre. You can NEVER get an appointment when you need it they always say sorry no appointments today ring In the morning for an emergency appointment and you be very lucky to even get one. I need a doctor now not in the morning. The receptionists are rude and have no compassion towards others or the patients. They need to be trained on how to do there jobs properly. You swear they were the doctors all the questions they ask. Before you ask for an appointment. I rarely go to my gp and this is why. I either end up in A&E or just try get myself better by Over the counter medicine. Cause even ringing these my anxiety goes through the roof. Because I know I’ve to gjve an essay on why I want an appointment. I’m definitely going to try move practice and seek better service and people who really like to help. Not feel like your a burden or asking for a bank loan.
Myself and my husband had a dermatology review with Dr Catherine Wilkinson today.
To say we were really impressed is an understatement.
Dr Wilkinson listened to our concerns and was superb in diagnosing our skin issues and explaining how to treat them ( both of us had different skin complaints)
We both found her excellent.
She had a really lovely approach to patient care and was very informative.
Would highly recommend.
If i could give no stars i would, disgraceful customer service and treatment of patients, no idea of how the medical systems work in the country and I would recommend all to avoid this place at all costs! Unbelievably rude
These reviews are misleading as there are 2 different GP practices in the building. There is the Jobstown clinic linked with the Mary Mercer and then Dr Amods practice. I think one is the 3rd floor and one the 4th floor, just something to be aware of when joining one or attending one as it's not very clear at all they are different practices all together.
I'm with Dr Amods and find them great, just joined and after just one app already hands down better than my previous GP
For three days in a row, I was calling from 9 o’clock. Three times in a row, they didn’t have any available appointments to see a doctor. They should invest in a queuing system.
As seems to be the theme with many bad GP reviews in Dublin- its not the GP’s who are the issue but the poor communicative skills of the receptionists (especially on the phone). I have sympathy for them as it is stressful and there are pressures taking numerous calls from anxious/agitated patients daily. However, you still have to maintain some professionalism. I was asking for availability of GP’s taking on new patients (my newborn) and as expected, was told they were fully booked. I had a follow-up question about a waiting list but the lady hung-up when I was mid-sentence. That is not professionalism.
I joined 2019 with all my family. I rang them on Tuesday 25.07.2023 and they told me I am not with them anymore. They can't talk over the phone but I can't come there either. The manager will ring me today.. now it is 8 days from then 02.08.2023. I sent an email also, no answer. So my son and wife have GP and I don't? Haha
Bdw my doctor was great when I was able to see her.
Don't really get the negative reviews on google. Appointment was easy to book (am a new patient), and the docs I saw gave a service that went beyond what is normally provided by a GP. Attentive, took their time to explain the diagnosis and treatment, and followed up on me later in the day.
