I’ve been a patient of Dr. David Hefferon for more than seven years, and I can’t recommend him enough. He’s an outstanding holistic dentist with unbelievable knowledge and insight. He can look at your oral health and instantly know what’s going on in your body, and your mind. Scary in the best way, and completely brilliant!
I attend Dr David Hefferon at Dundrum Dental Surgery. Dr Hefferon's level of knowledge and expertise is evident, particularly when in discussion with his patient about what treatment avenues to pursue for their highest good.
He is kind and caring in a practical and frank manner, and will always answer any question you may have before or after your appointment. Dr Hefferon's breadth of knowledge with regard to dentistry goes well beyond its' medical realm.
I would highly recommend Dr Hefferon for anyone who seeks a holistic approach to their dental care, and if required, any repair work.
In terms of the surgery, all staff are welcoming, helpful and professional. The waiting room and facilities are comfortable, welcoming and exceptionally clean. All the above is definitely worth the drive from County Kildare! Highly recommend.
Hello,
I went for a teeth clean up and was met by Alisha first. Always very welcoming. Chatted away until I was called which was only a few minutes. Then met by Shauna who was my hygienist. Also very welcoming. Asked me some background questions first regarding my teeth. Honestly, the most gentle, careful teeth cleaning i have experienced so far.
I will definitely be staying with Dundrum Dental Surgery for the future. Well worth the money for the care I received.

I had a very bad service here 3 years ago but they keep sending me reminders that i should get my teetch checked.. well, when i went, I had a very bad tooth and gum ache. I was seen by a young man who took some x-rays and told me to book a clean so I did, i was told that the specialist would ring me in a few days. I asked a few times but the specialist never came back t9 me. I was charged €80 for the xrays and €100 for the clean. I needed a root canal and they didnt tell me, wasted money. I went elsewhere and got it done and sorted on the same day. I would never go back there again.
The levels of dental care, capability and professionalism in this practice are exceptional. The friendly staff and atmosphere also add greatly to the reason I would recommend Dundrum Dental Surgery without a moments hesitation.
I think my favourite part of the appointment was when i asked about a painful tooth and Hefferon responded with “it’s still in your head isnt it?” Serious issues with his ego in my opinion and such a money grab. No proper testing or x rays done. I went to a far superior holistic dentist that cares for his patients and I was diagnosed with mercury toxicity from a positive mercury vapour test, an impacted and heavily infected wisdom tooth and gingivitis in my gums, nothing of which was mentioned by him. You won’t leave his clinic feeling good about yourself. Another one to add to the list of Irish practitioners that have lost care for their patients. Complete arrogance and i hope someday he realises how useless he has been to so many patients. He should be ashamed of himself. Im glad I kept chasing things myself. No wonder the Irish dentistry and medical system is falling apart with people like him practicing
Seen by a judgemental dentist who charged me €145 to examine my teeth with no recommendations or explanations as to the cause of my issue. A waste of time and money.
