Very disappointing experience at D2 Medical Centre
I went private for a simple blood test, expecting efficiency. Instead, I was forced into a doctor consultation I didn’t want or need. The doctor told me results would take 2–3 weeks, while the nurse said 1 week. After waiting 2.5 weeks with no communication, I contacted the clinic myself. Only then did they send me the results — and I discovered they had been ready in just 5 days!
To make matters worse, they advertise that blood test results are available in 72 hours, yet mine sat there for weeks without anyone bothering to send them. This shows a complete lack of care and professionalism. They clearly prioritize charging patients over providing timely answers.
On top of that, the receptionist was shouting across rooms with another staff member. Imagine patients with high temperatures or severe headaches having to endure that kind of unprofessional attitude — it’s unacceptable.
If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid this clinic. They don’t bother to follow up or deliver results promptly, leaving patients in the dark.
I’ve been attending with Dr. Ryan for over a decade and cannot fault him or his practice. I’ve always found all staff extremely obliging, personable and efficient. Dr. Ryan is an excellent GP who takes his time with his patients and gives great, balanced advice.

His staff are great too. I was in earlier today, and Niamh was so welcoming and friendly, it was almost a pleasure to be unwell!

When you walk in the door of this clinic you’ll find the most kind, caring and welcoming doctor and staff. And of course this lil dude in the pic in the window😂.
I’ve been a patient of Dr Ryan for over a decade, and as a woman with a chronic condition who’s dealt with many healthcare professionals along the way - I couldn’t rate him and his team more highly. They truly go above and beyond to do their very best for you.
You’ll always be referred if a referral is needed and you’ll never be left long waiting on test results either. You’ll also never feel unwelcome or unheard, which is so important for both your physical and mental health. I’ve often gone in about one thing and brought up 2 other things whilst there and Dr Ryan has always taken the time to listen and address any concerns - I’ve never once been rushed or made to feel like an inconvenience.
And Niamh, the practice manager , is like a little ray of sunshine in a bottle when your mood is low - if you’re having a bad day before meet her, I guarantee your mood will lift a little when you do.💚
I had a medical appointment today with Dr. Ryan at D2 Medical Centre, and both the doctor and staff including Niamh were extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. I felt well taken care of throughout the visit, and my issue was resolved promptly. I would absolutely recommend D2 Medical Centre.
This was literally a life saving visit. Dr. John Ryan thoroughness and vigilance resulted in a pre-emptive action that could have been much more dangerous in the near future. Highly recommend.
Dr. Ryan and his team are undoubtedly the best of their field. The first line admin team were so professional, efficient, warm and welcoming; explaining everything so thoroughly and providing all supporting documentation and receipts without prompting or request. The building and facilities were well maintained and everything was so clean and tidy.
